Calico kittens & cats in Glenarden, Maryland

Hi, this little cutie here is Ham'N'Cheese. Ham'N'Cheese is a lovely calico cat I found by my building a couple of months ago. She was about 6-7 months at the time. She was in and out because her and my mom clash. She is a very sweet, gentle, cuddly, and playful young cat. She's great with kids and loves to play with cats. I'm not sure how she is around dogs. I can no longer take care of her. I need to find a loving adopter who will spoil and care for her. I'd prefer to give her to someone that has another kitten/cat or puppy/dog in the house that is good with cats and can entertain her if chosen to be adopted. Meet Tippsie, an 8-year-old dilute tortie with a gentle soul! Tipssie’s world changed when her beloved owner from kittenhood, now facing advanced cancer, could no longer care for her. She is a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a sweet loving companion. She loves head and chin rubs, brushing, and even gives the cutest little forehead bumps. Since moving to a foster home from our shelter, she is much more comfortable. Tippsie is a laid back girl. She spends her afternoons napping, like most kitties, then joins her foster family when they get home from work for some petting and attention. Though not a lap cat (yet), Tippsie enjoys being close to her fosters and lets them carry her around. Tippsie would do best in a calm, quiet home with understanding adopters who will let her settle in at her pace. In return, Tipssie will reward you with companionship, gentle affection, and a loyal presence by your side! They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is designated as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

I originally acquired her as a foster placement about two years ago when she was just 8 weeks old. Her previous owner was unable to take her back, so I adopted her myself and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is two years old, but still wants to play all day, every day, like a kitten. I lost my DoD job and now I'm losing the house, none of my potential living situations allows cats, and it breaks my heart. Penny is soft, cuddly, and affectionate. She is a Calico who bonds closely with her person and she often sleeps right on top of my hip. She is comfortable with human interaction and is generally a very gentle companion. She is the best cat in the world, please help her have a great life.

Clio is a 5.5 year-old Calico we adopted when she was six months old. She's been a great companion through moves and different apartments, and is a cuddly, lazy house cat. Clio has outgrown our fairly small apartment and, more importantly, she and our precocious toddler don't exactly see eye-to-eye, which is why it's time for Clio to find her forever home. She is otherwise very low-maintenance, will play with a wide variety of toys (feather wands, battery-powered chasers etc.). She enjoys her standard dry food and litter, and the occasional treat. She doesn't need medications. She's just looking for her next great owners and home!

I started fostering Cali after she was found in an apartment building in DC. She was untrusting of everyone, after a while she began to trust me. I’ve had her on fluoxetine and it has not helped her behavior. She needs a home where she is the only pet, and she needs to be placed with someone who is very experienced with aggressive, territorial cats. I’m having to rehome her because she has attacked me and my partner. Whoever is interested in working with her, please know she will need a lot of patience. I have not exhausted all avenues of correcting her behavior, but I can no longer allow her to affect my household.

My name is Tatum and I am a very well behaved young 2 year old Calico girl looking for a new home.   Because my human family has health issues, they think its best for me to find a new home and they want me to have the best. I am ver loving and sweet and friendly.
