Meet spike. He's a 2 year old cane corso. Very sweet boy. He was my son's dog but due to circumstances he moved in with me. Our yard is too small for him. Spike was raised around 2 infants that are now also 2 years old. Raised with a 7 year old boy, a pomeranian and a cat. Never had any problems with him. Walks on a leash really well. Looking for someone that has at least a yard big enough for him. He's a indoor outdoor dog that likes the outdoors but he prefers to be around humans. He's located in napa california

BOSA is still learning to walk on leash, and he does jump and pull, because he is just a puppy in a giant's body. He doesn't know "sit" yet but one volunteer discovered that if you gently rub the big guy from the back of his neck all the way down his back to his tailbone, he will sit for you, (almost) every time. BOSA will require an adopter with plenty of breed and training experience, because he's a sweet boy, but he's also a powerful breed. He needs a patient, confident, and active home that will dedicate time to positive-reinforcement training to help him channel his big puppy energy into becoming a well-mannered gentleman.Because BOSA is so new to the shelter, we will add more details as we get to know him better. Peanutbutter is a perfect angel according to the volunteer who took her on a day trip.Here is her report:We had so much fun today!! She hopped into the car right away and stayed calm the whole time. She devoured her pup cup before we headed to downtown Davis for the craft fair. She did amazing with all the people there. Super chill with the crowds and live music. She's adult and kid friendly and did well nearby other dogs! She learned 'sit' very quickly and is very food motivated! We got some chicken for lunch and sat in the grass at Central Park. She LOVES rolling in the grass and is a big cuddler. Garnet isn't asking for much out of life. He's not particularly interested in long walks or big adventures. Honestly, we think his dream life involves a comfortable couch, a loving person beside him, and plenty of opportunities to lounge around and relax. He is incredibly chill and easygoing.And such a gentlemen...accepting treats so sweetly and gently. From what we have observed at the shelter, Garnet seems comfortable around other dogs. Emmi is one of those dogs you can't help but stop and look at. This beautiful 3-year-old, 64-pound, brindle Cane Corso has a face that almost reminds you of a Boxer, and a gorgeous striped body that makes her look like a little jungle cat. Her unique way of moving only adds to her charm.We don't know what Emmi's life was like before she arrived at the shelter. She often moves in a low, crouched posture, which could simply be nervousness in the shelter environment. Sometimes you can't help but wonder if this sweet girl had a pretty limited world before coming here.Because right now, everything seems new to Emmi. She wants to sniff EVERYTHING. She stops. She starts. She explores. She takes in every smell and every little piece of this big new world around her. Watching her curiosity come alive is incredibly sweet.Emmi may have been a mama at some point, but now it's time for someone to take care of her. She is sweet, loving, curious, and gentle when taking treats.
