Story
Meet Sister! This sweet gentle girl is looking for a bed to lay on and soak in some sun. She would love a home where she can run around and snuggle up with you. She does ok meeting dogs outside but should be the only dog in the household. She also has a strong prey drive, so best if there are no cats and other small animals in the home. "Sister is a 2 years old, Mastiff, Cane Corso, with the most soulful eyes. We have taken her out several times now. Her first intro to my 2 small dogs, she seemed to want to charge up to them. With each meet, she has calmed down. She now walks along with them as if she has known them forever. From what I observed, she seems to get along best with dogs who are calm and respectful, not overly jumpy. Sister rides well in the car and is a good walker. She is very strong though and if she sees a squirrel, she is like a fast sports car going from 0 to 100 mph very quickly. What works best for me when walking her is to be alert and hold onto her leash tightly. She loves sitting for treats. Treats are one sure way to her heart." Sister needs a strong person to handle her on leash and will need continued training to curb her reactivity and have her focus on her handler. She is also very true to her breed, so breed experience for the adopter is preferred. Do you have a home where Sister would be the perfect fit? She would love a safe space where she could be a part of your family, and run around and play. She deserves to find her forever home. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/MILO-A-6272

Story
Meet Enzo – A Gentle Giant in the Making! Enzo is a stunning 10-month-old black brindle Cane Corso mix with a heart as big as his paws! This sweet, sensitive boy is still learning to navigate the world and is looking for a patient, experienced home to help him blossom into the incredible dog we know he can be. Enzo’s ideal home will: - Have a secure yard for him to explore and play. - Be owned (not rented) to accommodate his size and needs. - Have another confident dog to help him learn and build his confidence. - Have experience with large breeds and understand their training needs. - Be ready for puppy energy as he comes out of his shell. Enzo came into a local shelter as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim him. After months of waiting, he finally found a foster home where he’s learning how to “dog” for the first time. He’s working on house and crate training, as well as basic manners. Right now, he’s a big, silly, untrained pup—but he’s eager to please and highly food-motivated, making him a fantastic candidate for structured training. Currently weighing about 68 pounds, Enzo is tall, lean, and still growing into his stature. He has already been neutered and is ready to find his forever home! With the right guidance, this lovable goofball will become a truly exceptional companion. If you’re ready to invest in training, structure, and love, Enzo is ready to be your loyal best friend. He would do best in a home with older children no toddlers he has not idea of his size. Interested in meeting him? Let us know! I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereTiramisu is a beautiful brindle 5-year-old Cane Corso mix, a little underweight at 54 pounds. She arrived at the shelter as a stray, shy and sensitive. Since then, she has spent time in loving foster homes, revealing her sweet and gentle spirit. Tiramisu loves nothing more than spending time with her people. She enjoys bursts of playful energy with zoomies and fetch in the yard, and is a wonderful companion on walks. This attentive pup is incredibly gentle and eager to please. While she's very food motivated, she responds best to a patient approach to training. Food puzzles and interactive toys are her favorites! Her fosters report Tiramisu is crate and house trained. With other dogs at the shelter, Tiramisu showed interest in playing and seemed to relax in their company. She could thrive as the only dog in the home with occasional dog friends, or in a home with another compatible dog. This sweet and deserving girl is looking for a calm and quiet home where her sensitive nature will be respected. With a little time and stability, Tiramisu will blossom into a confident and treasured family member. Follow her in foster with @oas_foster_friends on Instagram!
