Story
Meet a handsome 4-year-old Cane Corso mix located in Vacaville, CA. He is neutered, fully house-trained, and has no history of aggression toward people or food. He enjoys playing with other dogs and does best with medium to large breeds that understand his play style. He prefers resting on his dog bed rather than being crated, but he does very well when kenneled and consistently receives positive behavior reviews in kennel environments. He is calm indoors, respectful of his space, and thrives with routine. He is an ideal dog for someone familiar with large or guardian breeds who wants a loyal, steady companion. He would do best in a home that appreciates his size while offering structure and affection. Everyone that meets him loves him and says how handsome he is. He loves to swim and even rides on a paddle board. A reasonable rehoming fee will apply and donated to a local shelter to ensure a safe and responsible placement. ⏳ Can remain in current home while placement is arranged.

Story
Bert is a middle-aged Cane Corso with a heart as big as his head (and thatâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s saying something). He might look tough, but this boy is 100% softieâ&#194&#128&#194&#148the definition of someone's best friend.Despite his size, Bert is an easy walker who loves his strolls and will happily match your pace.Treats are his love language, though with his teeth worn down, it's all slobbery gum chompsand zero bite.Bert came to us as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery, but his personality speaks loud andclearâ&#194&#128&#194&#148loyal, affectionate, and ready to melt into your arms. He'd do best as the only dog (or with slow introductions to new friends). If you're looking for a big, lovable goofball who'll be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and yourbiggest fan, Bert the gentle goober is waiting to win you over, one slobbery kiss at a time.January 21, 2026, 6:48 pm

Story
Ziggy is a 1-year-old boy who is absolutely terrified in the shelter. The noise and chaos are overwhelming for him, and it’s heartbreaking to see such a gentle soul so scared. Even through his fear, Ziggy shows how sweet he truly is — he will allow you to leash him, and once on a walk he stays right by your side. When he gets scared, he may stop, but he never pulls. If Ziggy is brave enough to take a treat, he does so with the softest, most gentle mouth. And when he begins to trust you, this boy completely melts, leaning into you and curling up in your lap as if he’s been waiting for safety his whole life.Ziggy is dog friendly and desperately needs out of the shelter so he can decompress and learn what it feels like to be safe. He does have cherry eyes — a cosmetic condition — which sadly may make it harder for him to get noticed, but it does not define the incredible companion he can be.With time, patience, and love, Ziggy will blossom into the most loyal, loving champion anyone could ever ask for. He just needs someone to see him.

Story
Meet Ziva, a gentle sweetheart with a soft heart and a loving soul. She already knows sit and is eager to please, especially when praise or belly rubs are involved—those are her absolute favorite. Ziva is very affectionate once she feels safe, but she’s on the shy side and needs a little patience to truly shine. Give her time, kindness, and a calm environment, and she’ll reward you with quiet devotion, warm cuddles, and a bond that feels extra special because you earned her trust.Ziva has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
