Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feetFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Maxine is a 1.5 year old female Cane Corso mix who weighs in at 70 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $400.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Maxine absolutely loves people! Whether it is lounging on the couch for a nice nap or giving nonstop kisses, she can't get enough of her people. This silly girl has an upside-down turtle wiggle she will show you when she is really excited. If you look too long into those beautiful eyes, she will memorize you to instantly fall in love.  Max unfortunately has shown aggression to older/other dogs. Therefore she will need to be the only dog in the home. Drogon… A regal gentle giant. He is a beautiful, unique boy. He walks beautifully on a leash and would make an excellent companion for someone who enjoys leisurely walks. He was a bit shy at first, still adjusting to his new surroundings, but quickly showed me tail wags and enjoyed some treats. He is such a cool guy. We LOVE our seniors who come in with unique personalities and histories! Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog. Hello my female corso is Bella shell be 3, 8/13/25 I've had to return back to work full.time and just can't give her what she needs which is attention. We've had Bella since she was 8 weeks. She's potty trained and very loving. I don't want to neglect her needs any longer and would.love to rehome her She is so loyal. Loves to play. Is trainable and as of current never bitten anyone. She will bark at strangers but that is resolved once we allow you in her space by introducing youwith us then she will just bump you and shower you with attention... Bella is behind on her next set of shots.she loves going to the groomers. Shes a slobber esp if she gets excited. Never bred very muscular, about 140lbs, can cause you to lose balance while playing. Corsos are great dogs that require leadership. Please help her and us thank you. Fee is negotiable The last pic.is of Bella parents, we met them when we purchased her.
