Story
Hi, I’m Iggy and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Iggy Location: Plano, IL Date of Birth: 5/1/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Color: Black Dog's Weight: Approximately 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: Unknown Cats?:  Unknown Kids?:  Unknown Training: Leash trained: Were working on it Crate/Kennel:  Were working on it Potty trained: Were working on it Car:  Were working on it Meet Iggy! Iggy is a big, handsome boy who is extremely strong, energetic, and full of life, with a heart that clearly wants to connect with his people. Iggy is currently decompressing, and even during this transition he has shown that he listens well and truly wants to do what you ask. At his age, Iggy’s excitement often comes out as full-body wiggles and happy chaos. He can be a bit unsure about being alone and prefers the company of his people, making him a great candidate for continued confidence-building and structure. With guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Iggy has all the makings of a loyal and devoted companion. Training & Personality Very eager to please High energy and very strong Still learning to manage excitement and impulses Would benefit from basic training and clear boundaries Thrives with routine and engagement The Perfect Home for IggyIggy will do best with an experienced, confident large or giant-breed owner who understands strength, energy, and the importance of training. Due to his size and tendency to throw his body around when excited, a home without small children is required. A secure fenced yard would be ideal so Iggy can safely burn off energy. While he may enjoy having a canine companion in the future, he does not require another dog in the home—his main need is a committed human who can provide structure, patience, and leadership. Iggy is a powerful, loving dog who wants nothing more than to belong. With the right adopter, he has the potential to become an incredible best friend and lifelong companion. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Story
Hi, I’m Rafferty. I am ready to find my forever home! Dog’s Name: Rafferty Location: Green Bay, WI Date of Birth: 06/01/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Mix Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 85 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?: Unknown Kids?: Older kids or giant breed experienced younger kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel with a treat as an incentive Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Doesn't like getting in the car, but rides well once in. Meet Rafferty! Rafferty’s personality is truly shining. This sweet giant-breed puppy is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He has bursts of puppy energy filled with zoomies and toy time, followed by his favorite activity—curling up on the couch for cuddles. Rafferty is learning his puppy manners and is doing well with redirection as he figures out what is appropriate to nibble on (and what is not). He loves toys, enjoys interacting with people, and has gotten along wonderfully with everyone he has met. True to his affectionate nature, Rafferty is a big fan of giving kisses and soaking up attention. Rafferty will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a growing giant-breed puppy. Because of his size and breed characteristics, prior giant-breed experience is recommended. His adopter should be prepared to continue basic puppy training, including reinforcing good manners and helping him grow into his large body. He would do well in a home that can provide: Consistent structure and positive reinforcement training Plenty of interaction, enrichment, and supervised play Space to move and play (a fenced yard is a bonus, but not required with proper exercise) Rafferty may enjoy having another friendly dog in the home but would also be perfectly happy as the center of attention. He is suitable for a committed, patient adopter who is ready to guide him through puppyhood and into a well-mannered adult. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and cuddly companion with a heart as big as his paws, Rafferty may be your perfect match. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Story
Chief is an approximately 1 year old male Corso/Mastiff mix who arrived to us as a stray and was not reclaimed by an owner. Chief is a big boy at 80 lbs (still could gain some weight, and likely has growing to do). We can best describe Chief as BOISTEROUS, as he pretty much bounces and runs everywhere he goes here. He is looking for a home with a person or family who will both nurture his happy puppy side, while providing structure, boundaries and training to make him the best dog he can be. Breed/size experience is a plus! We aren't sure about housetraining, and he appears to need work on that -- but being in a kennel, it is hard to tell how he will be in a home. He would do best in a home without cats/small animals at this time, and due to his size and energy levels, we would recommend older or no children. He appears to be somewhat dog friendly, and homes with dogs would need to have their dogs meet Chief before proceeding to make sure it would be a good match. Chief has been recently neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $150. Please come to the shelter to meet this sweet boy, if interested, and call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov

Story
If you like them B I G and docile, this is the gal for you. This sweet princess came in needing a second chance after she ended up with our shelter partner. Her and a few of her friends were removed from a property in need of a second chance. Shyly is big and sweet. She is shy until she knows you, but never offers any concerning behavior. She walks well on the leash, is comfortable in a kennel, and is just a big baby. She is fine with dogs that are not overly excited and jumping on her. She will coexist with a lower energy dog perfectly. Due to her size she would do best in a home with kids over 10. This girl is about 3 and still has so much life to live. If you want a friend to help you get outside this summer, she would love a family to head out and adventure with. Come meet his sweet girl.

Story
*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Chloe is a 2&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old spayed Anatolian Shepherd Mix with a heart as big as her 85&#226&#128&#145pound frame! This sweet girl is slowly coming out of her shell and showing off her silly, playful personality. She loves her people and will happily follow you around the house, always wanting to be part of the action. Chloe is equal parts affectionate and goofy — she’ll make you laugh with her awkward zoomies and melt your heart when she leans in for cuddles. She does bark and whine to communicate, so she’s best suited for a family who can be patient as she continues to build her confidence. Chloe is still learning how to walk nicely on a leash and will need some guidance with basic manners. She’s also not a fan of being crated, so a home where she can have a safe space outside of a crate would be ideal. Because of her size and clumsy play style, Chloe needs a home without small children. She’ll thrive with adults or older kids who understand big, enthusiastic dogs. With love, patience, and a little training, Chloe will reward her new family with endless loyalty and goofy joy. If you’re ready for a sweet, lovable giant who will adore you unconditionally, Chloe is your girl!   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 27, 2025, 8:58 am
