Story
Meet Jimmy Jr.!! This handsome guy and his best bud Scoobie are searching for their forever home in the new year!!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Jimmy Jr. is ~9 month old! After being found as a stray, Scoobie quickly settled into life as an indoor kitten. He loves to play with toys and foster siblings. He is a huge fan of sleeping in dog beds or large cat beds with his best buddy Scoobie. He also loves his wet food and will twine about your legs until you give him his morning and evening wet meals. When the mood strikes him, he will zip up and down the halls chasing balls or other rolling toys. At night both boys will join their people on the bed for cuddles. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Jimmy Jr. has not met a dog before, but with slow and careful introductions to a well-behaved dog we think he would do great with a new pup sibling! --- Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Jimmy Jr. will be microchipped, neutered, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. They are in excellent health! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Jimmy Jr. is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
Meet Chloe, a gentle and beautiful calico girl with a heart as soft as her coat! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Chloe is one of a group of cats who were born at a local Houston bar (Drift Bar). They grew up around the hustle and bustle of bar-goers and love being around people. When the only home they’d ever known closed down this summer, the resident kitties were left alone to fend for themselves until some good Samaritans stepped in. Chloe was snagged off the streets a few weeks after her sister Charlotte and two of their Drift Bar buddies, so she is still adjusting to life indoors. Though she may be timid at first, Chloe has been slowly but surely blooming into a more confident companion each day. With her brave (and nearly identical!) sister by her side, Chloe is learning that being part of a family isn’t so scary after all. Her progress in only a couple weeks has been amazing to watch. Her shyness fades a little each day, and we are so proud to find her in new, more open areas of the house as she feels more secure. This bright-eyed beauty watches her surroundings with quiet curiosity, taking mental notes and building up her courage, one interaction at a time. While she’s still a little wary of head pats, she absolutely adores chin rubs and butt scratches. Once she’s comfortable, she'll reward your affection by rolling over and purring like a tiny, furry lawnmower. Chloe has mastered the art of loafing, often perched by a sunny window, keeping watch over the world outside. Her calm presence brings a peaceful energy to any room, and she's happiest when she has a cozy nook to call her own and someone patient nearby who understands that her love and trust will come at her own pace. ___ At the time we are posting Chloe, she is truly a “newbie” indoor cat. During her time with her foster she will be exposed to a lot of new interactions, environments, sounds, and stimuli. When she was in her familiar environment she was just about as brave as her sister Charlotte. As we were trying for weeks to trap her and move her to safety, she would follow us around, rubbing and head butting our legs and staring up, meowing with her adorable little face. Ultimately no trap was needed – she just let us pluck her off the street and carry her home. We fully expect her to come around the same way her sister did after a little more adjustment time, and we can’t wait to see her personality come out even more! ___ Chloe has a nearly-identical sister Chloe who is also up for adoption – the two of them are very close and would be an adorable pair for anyone looking for double the fun. She has a very easygoing demeanor, and with proper introductions she would do just fine with an existing resident cat. She would also be fabulous as an only cat with lots of love and attention from her human family. Chloe is ~2 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat The Drift Bar Kitties: Victoria, Harrison, Charlotte, Chloe, Sebastian (coming soon), and Genevieve (coming soon). Chloe is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ___ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Story
Meet Clementine!! This girl is looking for her forever home for the new year!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Clementine joined our foster program after being found with a new litter of kittens by a Good Samaritan! Her babies are all weaned now, and she is ready for her forever home. Clementine is approximately 2yrs old. She loves to be near her person getting the pets she definitely deserves. Clementine is so sweet and calm, but we think she will be quite playful in her forever home. She can be a bit sensitive about being pet on her hind end, so she is best with older kids and cat-savvy people. She would be an excellent only cat, or will do just fine with a buddy or friendly resident cat. She definitely prefers to keep her "clan" small though after raising litters of kittens all on her own -- who can blame her?! This lovely little lady is such a joy and will be a great addition to a calm, cat-savvy household. She's sweet as can be, ready to give love and snuggles, and is hoping for someone to give her a chance this holiday season! Could that person be you? --- Clementine will be microchipped, spayed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. She is in excellent health! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Clementine is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Story
Meet Ginny, your new best friend!!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Ginny and her sister Georgia (also adoptable) are two peas in a pod!! Ginny is a play machine, and loves to wrestle and chase her toys. After a good zoomie, she loves to settle down for a good nap and a snuggle. Ginny is the braver of the two gals, and helps her sister Georgia feel safe when she is scared. They are a dynamic duo who are ready to find their forever home! The two kitties aren't bonded and would be fine if adopted separately, however. Ginny and Georgia were trapped from a cat colony, very weak and sick from a life on the street. They have been nursed back to health and are getting bigger and stronger every day!! They had a traumatic start to life, but are they learning to feel safe and secure. These girls will need a forever family that lets them warm up at their own pace. All they need now is you to give them the love and attention they deserve!! Ginny and Georgia are ~8 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. They do a great job of keeping their litter box tidy. All they need now is a forever home! They have never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think they could learn to love a new dog friend. They may be overwhelmed with rambunctious toddlers or young kids, but would be fine with an older or cat-savvy kiddo. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Adopt Ginny and Georgia, and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun! --- Ginny and Georgia are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
