Story
Socks is an active and friendly young cat we’ve loved for about three years, after adopting her as a kitten. She’s always enjoyed lounging on a comfy pillow and gazing out the window, especially when the sun shines in. Socks has a sweet personality, is playful, and loves human company. She’ll thrive in a home where she can get plenty of affection and a cozy spot to watch the world outside. We’re unfortunately seeking a new home for Socks due to allergies in our family. Otherwise, we would keep her forever. We hope to find a loving family who will cherish her as much as we do.

Story
Meet Mindy – a playful, cuddle bug! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Mindy is full of energy, curiosity, and just the right amount of mischief. Mindy loves teaming up with her siblings for playtime shenanigans, and she’s often the one leading the charge into kitten-sized trouble (the fun kind). After all that excitement though, she’s more than happy to settle in your arms for a good cuddle. Mindy is an affectionate, playful girl and will make sure she gets your attention when she needs it! She loves to be with her siblings in a cuddle pile, on your lap, or racing around the house. She's a very loving and fun little kitten and will make a great family member! Mindy is ~8 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home! Mindy would thrive if adopted with one of her foster siblings. She's never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think she could learn to love a new dog friend. Mindy’s foster mates: Mike (M), Matt (M), Mary (F) Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Information on why adopting two kittens together is best for their short- and long-term health and behavior can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Mindy is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along ther route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
Meet Jimmy Jr.!! This handsome guy and his best bud Scoobie are searching for their forever home in the new year!!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Jimmy Jr. is ~9 month old! After being found as a stray, Scoobie quickly settled into life as an indoor kitten. He loves to play with toys and foster siblings. He is a huge fan of sleeping in dog beds or large cat beds with his best buddy Scoobie. He also loves his wet food and will twine about your legs until you give him his morning and evening wet meals. When the mood strikes him, he will zip up and down the halls chasing balls or other rolling toys. At night both boys will join their people on the bed for cuddles. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Jimmy Jr. has not met a dog before, but with slow and careful introductions to a well-behaved dog we think he would do great with a new pup sibling! --- Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Jimmy Jr. will be microchipped, neutered, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Story
Meet Stacie -- your future outdoor adventure partner!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Stacie is a 11 month old tabby who enjoy enjoys cuddles in bed and the indoor/outdoor life. Stacie would make a wonderful companion to those who love the outdoors. She is not a cat that enjoys being held for long periods of time (such a typical girl kitty!), but she does enjoy snuggling up next to her foster mom for an afternoon snooze and sleeping with "her" humans. She's also a big fan of wand toys and looking out the window like a nosy neighbor. This little gal got used to life on the streets and sometimes still wants to go outside for some outdoor mischief. We think she would do great with a screened in porch or catio option where she could chirp at birds and bugs anytime she felt like laying in the sun! We haven't tried it yet, but she also might be a great candidate for leash training and walks with the family. Stacie is good with kids, dogs, and other cats -- she's a great fit for almost any home! Stacie is currently 11 months old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, combo tested (negative) and in great health! she has great litter box habits and all she needs now is a forever home. The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Stacie is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. Story
Meet Victoria, the roly-poly, green-eyed snuggle queen with a heart of gold and a kissable face! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Victoria is one of a group of cats who were born at a local Houston bar (Drift Bar). They grew up around the hustle and bustle of bar-goers and love being around people. When the only home they’d ever known closed down this summer, the resident kitties were left alone to fend for themselves until some good Samaritans stepped in. Victoria was so friendly that, despite living outdoors her entire life, she immediately walked up to her finder and was picked up with no fuss, carried away to a brand new life of leisure! She’s settled into her indoor life exceptionally well. She may come across as timid at first, but once she gets to know you, Victoria is the epitome of a cute, snuggly, and friendly baby. When there is a loud noise or a new person, Victoria will trot off to a safe space where she can observe from afar until she feels comfortable. It’s hard to describe just how loving and sweet Victoria is. She is an expert at curling into a tight little ball and purring, waiting for cuddles and pets. She will flop over on her side, roll around, and do big stretches just to get closer. She doesn’t mind being picked up if she’s held securely and close to you. Victoria will be a perfect couch potato for anyone looking for a loving, calm companion. She is a gentle little soul and doesn’t have destructive or mischievous tendencies – her main “toxic trait” is overindulging on treats. Speaking of food, Victoria is the cat version of a “cheap date”! So far, she will only eat dry kibble and turns her nose up at any fancy wet food she’s offered. She has no interest in the Churu snacks her kitty friends love, but goes crazy for Friskies Party Mix. We try to spoil any cat that’s had a rough life on the streets with the best food available, but Victoria is a beer and hot dog kind of cat… No champagne and caviar for this girl next door! ___ Victoria's proportions are phenomenal. She has tiny legs, a small and doll-like face, and a roly-poly body. Earlier in life she likely had an ear infection which caused a permanent head tilt – it’s not uncomfortable for her and makes her even more adorable. She is peak feline perfection in a little donut body! Her coat is silky smooth, her purr is so sweet, and she just gazes up at you lovingly with her big, green eyes. You can always tell how appreciative she is for her second chance at life. ___ Victoria has lived her life as part of a cat colony and would do great if adopted with any of her foster siblings, or (with patience and proper introductions) an existing resident cat with a laid-back, docile personality. She would also thrive as an only cat in a home where she gets lots of love from her human family. Victoria has not met a dog during her time indoors. We would be happy to test her temperament with dogs prior to adoption for any serious applicants who have patient, cat-friendly, calm pups. Charlotte is ~2 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat The Drift Bar Kitties: Victoria, Harrison, Charlotte, Chloe, Sebastian (coming soon), and Genevieve (coming soon). Victoria is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ___ ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
