Story
Gunther is a 16 week old high spirited, energetic, and out going kitten. He grew up playing with his brothers a bunny and guinea pig and love every kind of toy that moves. He has never lived with another cat but has always been interested in new animals and meeting new people. He has made it know that he does not like other dogs, the sound, smell, or sight of them will make him very angry. He loves going on car rides to the store, or road trips a few hours away, loves playing in the car, and looking out the back window. Loves meeting new people and tries to play with everyone he meets. Gunther first came to us when he was 2 weeks old, he was found on Wrightsville beach in a sewage pipe covered in water and sand late at night all alone. We have hand raised and cared for him ever since. He is up to date on his shots and ready for a new home. He is a loving kitten that is definitely giving black cat energy.

Story
Meet Keiko! Keiko is 5 years old and a big bundle of love, energy, and playfulness. Keiko was adopted as a kitten and lived in a loving home with a cat sibling. Unfortunately, her adopters became homeless and had to move and Keiko's life as she knew it became different. At first, she was put into a cage at a local vets office, then returned to her original rescue to a foster home with what seemed like a gazilion other cats she didn't know. The smells, food, and people were all new, and she would give her caretaker small hisses to announce her displeasure. As she became accustomed to this change, we started to see her sweet, playful side. Chirping at her toys, enjoying catnip pawties, and finding that sometimes, life changes are ok, and with the help of her foster, she has adjusted well. We've taken time to get to know Keiko, and we know she would do well in a home, with an adopter willing to let her adjust to another newness. Someone who works from home would be ideal, but she doesn't mind alone time either. She was previously in a home with another cat, so we get the sense that given time, she would adjust to someone to nap with or attend catnip pawties with. If you are looking for love in all the right places, are patient, kind, and are looking for someone to sit next to you while you read or watch TV, you just might have found your girl! Keiko is spayed, tested negative for FIV/Felv, and is up to date on her vaccinations. Why wait? Email rescueconnectnc@gmail.com and make an appointment to meet me. Tested, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Like and Follow "Helping Cats of Southeastern NC' on Facebook (@HelpingCatsSENC) for adoptable cat photos. Story
Meet Mattie! ? Mattie is a beautiful, sweet 6-year-old tabby who’s ready to find her true forever home. Originally adopted as a tiny kitten, Mattie has found herself back in foster care through no fault of her own — and she’s hoping her next chapter will be filled with love, comfort, and stability. Mattie is a smart, gentle, and well-mannered cat who enjoys the quiet life. She may be shy at first, but with a little patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loyal and affectionate companion. She loves to “cat chat” softly with her people and will happily curl up beside you while you read, relax, or watch TV. Mattie would do best in a calm, adult-only home without other cats. She’s looking for someone who spends plenty of time at home and understands the heart of an indoor cat. A cozy spot by a sunny window and a tall cat tower will help her feel secure as she settles in. Once you’ve earned her trust, Mattie will reward you with quiet gratitude and steady companionship. Mattie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Adoptions are limited to within 40 miles of Wilmington, NC. To apply, please visit: rescueconnectnc.com/adopt/application
