****Sponsored adoption fee***Sweet and friendly 7 month old tabby kitten. Chestnut was adopted and returned because the older resident cat did not like having an annoying little sister. The adopters tell us she is very affectionate and playful. We can tell you that Chestnut is talkative. She especially is loud when she is not getting attention. Please be ready for a chatty roommate. Story
Lily is a beautiful girl who looks Siamese but has just a touch of tabby mixed in—giving her that extra special, soft “mellow girl” vibe. She has a calm, peaceful presence and absolutely loves stretching out for long naps in the sunshine. A warm sunbeam is her happy place. ☀️ Her favorite toy? A simple crumpled-up piece of paper! Proof that the best things in life don’t have to be fancy. She’ll happily bat it around and entertain herself with the sweetest little bursts of playfulness. Lily isn’t quite a lap cat yet—but she’s very close. She loves resting right beside you, soaking up your company and feeling safe. We’re pretty sure that full lap privileges are coming soon once she knows she’s truly home. 💕 She’s comfortable with small dogs and has limited experience with other cats, but she has shown curiosity and playfulness—she even played paws under the door with a resident kitty! With slow, proper introductions, she may do well with another friendly cat. Lily has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Cats with FIV can live long, happy, normal lives with routine vet care and a loving indoor home. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds, so many FIV+ cats successfully live with other non-aggressive cats. We’re happy to answer any questions and help you understand what this means for Lily. If you’re looking for a gentle, mellow companion who enjoys quiet moments, sunshine naps, and being near her people, Lily may be your perfect match. 🐾 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Minnie is a 6-year-old orange short-haired beauty who may have started out a little shy, but once she realized she was safe and loved, she completely blossomed into a total cuddle bug. And bonus fun fact — she’s an orange female, which makes her extra special! She adores affection, eagerly looks forward to her daily canned food treat, and happily comes out for pets and snuggles when her foster mom is around. After having a dental and some extractions, has truly become a brand-new, happy cat now that she’s feeling so much better. 🦷✨ Minnie prefers to be the only cat of the house, has perfect litter box manners, is spayed, and is fully ready for her forever home. She’s a gentle, loving soul who would thrive in a calm home where she can continue to enjoy all the comforts she deserves. Looking for a sweet, affectionate companion to share your life with? Minnie is your girl. 🧡🐾 Apply to adopt: hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Amora’s story could have had a very different ending. She was found locked inside an outbuilding and brought to the local animal shelter—but despite what she’s been through, this girl adores people. Amora is a true people-lover and a total talker! She’s not shy about sharing her thoughts and will happily chat with you while soaking up attention. With her classic tuxedo markings—sleek black fur and a bright white chest—she’s as stunning as she is sweet. If you’re looking for a social, affectionate cat who wants to be part of your everyday life (and conversations!), Amora may be your perfect match. Interested in adopting Amora? Story
Meet Willie Two years old. Brave. And rocking a chunky strut that could melt even the toughest hearts. Willie came to HSDC from a colony and arrived with some pretty big challenges—he’s blind and faced serious health concerns, including neurological symptoms. But thanks to the incredible care at HSDC, the support of the community, and a whole lot of love, Willie is getting the help he needs and showing everyone just how resilient he is. Willie is a special guy, and he’s looking for a special kind of home—one filled with patience, understanding, and a big heart. He’s recently started insulin to help manage diabetes, and while he’s on a weight-loss journey, he hasn’t lost an ounce of confidence. His favorite things? Warm, cozy beds. Gentle brushing sessions. And deep, meaningful conversations—especially when they’re paired with chin scratches. Willie may not see the world the way other cats do, but he feels it deeply. He knows kindness. He knows comfort. And he knows love. If you think you could be the one to give Willie the safe, patient, forever home he deserves, please reach out to HSDC. Because Willie isn’t just looking for a home— he’s looking for his person. 💛 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats
