Story
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Gender: Spayed Female Age: 6 years old Size: 13lbs History Tuesday has been at the shelter since July 2025. Rescued as a feral kitten, she was raised in a home with dogs which was a stressful environment that wasn’t the right fit for her. Her owner surrendered her to us, and she is enjoying the space she needs to decompress and show her true self. Personality Quiet and observant, Tuesday is becoming more curious since arriving and is gradually getting more comfortable around strangers. Independent by nature, she prefers doing her own thing and warms up slowly, though faster with women. Tuesday isn’t demanding, but she will thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. It takes daily contact to bond with Tuesday. She may come off as sassy the first time you meet her, after she gets used to you (and is fed by you), she will lean in for pets and look forward to you spending time with her. It takes a little patience to win her over. She is particularly fond of one of our volunteers that pets her, speaks to her, and Tuesday's favorite - feeds her. Favorite Activities She loves lounging in her favorite spots and watching the world go by, particularly on the cat tower by the large window overlooking the lobby. She will sit on the top and make sure everything is running smoothly. She also enjoys her scratcher post and batting at the sticky notes on the window. Cohabitation Tuesday does not like dogs and appears not like other cats as well. Due to her boundaries, she would likely do best in a home without small children, as she does not like being messed with. Medical She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Because she had crystals in her urine when she came to the shelter, the vet put her on a special diet. All of this consists of is a particular brand of food. Otherwise, she does not need any additional meds and is healthy.

Story
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Gender: Neutered Male Age: 2.5 years old Size: 10lbs History: He was a stray cat that someone was feeding but was unable to care for them full time. He was surrendered to the shelter in October of 2025. Personality: Mr. Beaumont, or simply Beaumont once you earn his trust, is a quiet, independent gentleman who prefers to take things at his own pace. He needs a little time to warm up to new people and environments, but once trust is established, he settles in nicely. He is also quiet, clean, and fully litter trained! Favorite Activities: Beaumont enjoys roaming, exploring, and choosing when he wants attention. He also loves to eat, but when he’s not enjoying a meal, you’ll often find him stretched out in a sunny spot or watching birds and squirrels from the window. He is an observant gentleman that likes watching the world go by. Cohabitation: He would thrive in a calm home with a patient adopter who understands and respects a cat that values independence and gentle communication. It is unknown if he gets along with other animals or children, but because of his shy nature, he prefers to be left alone. Medical: He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and completely healthy.

Story
Meet Bubbles – A Survivor Ready for Love At just six months old, Bubbles has already lived a story most cats never should. She was rescued near Davidson College from a colony in crisis—where a neighbor was actively harming the cats she called family. While others turned away, concerned community members stepped in, and Cats of Davidson answered the call. Bubbles was safely trapped, spayed, vaccinated, and given a second chance at life. Now, she’s ready for her first real home. Bubbles is a stunning light gray tabby with soft tortie undertones—her coat as unique as her journey. But it’s her gentle spirit that truly sets her apart. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains incredibly loving and trusting. Her favorite things? Churu treats (she’ll come running for them!) Gentle pets and quiet companionship The comfort of another cat nearby Because she grew up in a colony, Bubbles would thrive in a home with a feline friend. She finds confidence and joy in companionship and will blossom even more with a buddy by her side. She’s not just a rescue—she’s a survivor, a testament to resilience, and a reminder of what kindness can do. All she needs now is someone to show her what safety, warmth, and love feel like every day. Could that be you?

Story
This beautiful blue-eyed girl has already overcome more than most kittens ever should. She was discovered at one of our recent TNRV sites in Davidson, hiding inside the home where her feeder once lived—after a neighbor began harming the community cats. Despite such a frightening start, her gentle spirit is still shining through. We would like Darwin homed with another cat(s), as she's social and came from a community. She may be a little shy at first, but the moment you start petting her, her “motor” kicks on full blast. Her loud, steady purr is her way of saying she’s ready to trust again. And once she feels safe? She’s an absolute champion biscuit maker—kneading away happily while soaking up affection.
