Story
We adopted Bowser from PetSmart about a month and an half ago. They claimed he was 6-8 months old which matches his size, and he’s grown a bit since we got him. One of the coolest things about him is that he plays fetch! (“Good boy, bring it here!”). He’s extremely friendly and a lap cat for sure. His coat is a really nice mix of black, brown, and grey. Unfortunately, one of our cats doesn’t accept him and he has had a few bathroom incidents in the house since we got him. We aren’t sure why this is happening (perhaps we aren’t cleaning the litter frequently enough?). He ended up peeing on ~$1000 worth of music equipment which was the last straw. Our other two cats are older and have no such issues. He’s an extremely lovable cat; he likely just needs some additional training but we aren’t willing to risk more peeing incidents. Also, he really likes to open cupboards when he’s bored. This isn’t an issue for us since we fastened all the cupboards, but it’s important to know.

Story
Shirkan is very friendly and so good with kids and people and loves the attention. He loves to say hello with a meow when sees his owners. Enjoys watching kids playing outdoors and likes to hang out with them and owners. Had him for about 2.5 years from the time he was a kitten. His current rest/night bed is indoors (laundry room that he has temporary access from outside) but he is mostly outdoors. If he could he would definitely be indoors, but we can’t have pets in the house. He always tries to sneak in though. ☺️ Also loves to stay warm. He would sit on the floor vent to get warm, especially now when it’s cold. We like to travel long periods and finding a sitter for cat is an issue and we can’t keep him indoors either so it’s become an issue with keeping him. Plus the owner is not ok with any pets in the house even in the laundry room. Need to re-home ASAP.

Story
Hi! My name is Jeff. I am a brave soul with a remarkable journey, and I have overcome so much to find my place in the world. For years, I lived outside as a feral community cat, fending for myself and keeping my distance from humans. But when the cold became too much, my kind caretakers brought me inside, and my life completely transformed. I now live happily with four other cats who have become my friends, and I've discovered the joys of indoor life—soft blankets, cozy spots, and endless affection. I'll be honest: trusting humans didn't come naturally to me. But these days, I absolutely love being petted! I give enthusiastic head butts and purr so loudly you might think there's a motor running nearby. I'm still learning what it means to fully trust, but every day I'm getting more confident and comfortable. I enjoy the company of my feline roommates, and I'm proving that even cats who start out wary and independent can blossom into loving companions when given patience and care. I'm looking for a forever home where someone understands my journey and appreciates the incredible progress I've made. I have so much love to give, and I'm ready to continue my transformation with a special person or family. If you have room in your heart and home for a cat who has truly earned his second chance, please reach out. I promise you won't regret it—my purrs alone are worth it! traveljunkie345@yahoo.com

Story
We adopted Tucker in 2018 at six weeks old from the Avery County Humane Society. We are moving to another home because my mom has had cancer and she is coming to live with us. Tucker has been living with other cats and is very stressful because of it. He needs a home where he can be the only cat and be loved on. He loves to be rubbed and he will sit in your lap only on his own terms. He does not like to be picked up and held, but he loves rubs and loves to march on soft blankets.

Story
We found Finney in our garage in July 2024. He was about five months old. We took him in having four other cats. He is a sweet boy. However, he is a tad overweight because it is hard to control his eating with so many other cats. He needs to be an only cat in a more controlled eating environment. He loves to eat! He is very gentle and is very scared upon meeting new people, but once he is used to you, he is a very sweet cat.
