Story
Hi, I’m Wednesday- yes, like the one from The Addams Family! I may not be as gloomy as my famous namesake, but I do share that sleek, all-black look… and a bit of attitude. Think of me as your very own playful little house panther—with a hint of spice.I’m a 2-year-old boy who came to the shelter when my previous family developed allergies. I’ve lived with other cats before, so I could do well with feline friends again. I’m friendly and love pets… but only on my terms. When I’ve had enough, I’ll let you know—sometimes with a swat or a quick escape. I’m definitely not a lap cat, and I like keeping my paws firmly on the ground.I adore playtime—chasing toys, pouncing, and exploring keeps me happy. I’m an indoor-only cat and enjoy a home where I can safely strut my stuff and show off my personality. If you’re looking for a sleek, playful black cat who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it, I just might be your perfect little panther.

Story
Hi… I’m Band Aid. I’m a 3-year-old guy who’s looking for a fresh start. My previous family had to move and couldn’t take me along, so now I’m searching for my next forever home. It’s been a big change for me, and I can be a little shy at first. New places and new people take some getting used to, so I’ll need you to go slow and let me build confidence at my own pace. I have lived with other cats before and did well, but if I’m joining a home with feline friends, I’ll need a proper, slow introduction to feel safe and comfortable. Once I know everyone means well, I can settle in just fine. Here’s the thing about me: I don’t give my trust away easily. You have to earn it. But once you do? I am the most loyal cat around. I’ll be your quiet companion, your steady shadow, your faithful friend. I bond deeply with my person, and that connection is something really special. So if you’re patient, kind, and willing to let a shy guy come out of his shell in his own time, I promise the reward is worth it.

Story
Hello, I’m Maisey, a gentle lady looking for a quiet forever home. I can be a little shy at first, and you’ll often find me tucked into a cozy cubby or hiding spot while I take time to get comfortable in a new space. Once I start to feel safe though, my sweet side really shines. I love gentle pets and scratches, and I’ll start purring as soon as you give me some attention. I’m still a bit timid, but I’m a very affectionate girl at heart. I do enjoy sitting on laps, though I prefer to come to you when I’m ready. I’m not the biggest fan of being picked up, so I like to keep all four paws on the ground and will politely hop down when I’ve had enough. I’m an indoor-only girl who has lived with dogs before, and while I may need a little time to adjust, I’m a friendly companion once I feel safe. I also have a bit of a playful side and enjoy calm little moments of fun when the mood strikes. What I’m really hoping for is a patient, gentle home where I can take my time, enjoy cozy hiding spots, and share soft purrs and quiet cuddles with my person. If you’re looking for a sweet, shy girl with lots of gentle love to give, I might be the perfect match for you.

Story
Hi… I’m Baby. Yes, I know—it’s a pretty cute name, and honestly, it suits me just fine. I’m here because my previous owner loved me very much but couldn’t give me everything I needed anymore. It was a hard decision for them, and now I’m hoping to find a forever home that’s just right for me. I’m a friendly and playful guy who gets along well with everyone in the home. I’ve lived with other cats before—two girls, actually—and we did a bit of everything together. We napped near each other, groomed, played, and yes… had the occasional disagreement (hey, siblings fight sometimes!), but no one ever got hurt. I’d likely do well with a feline friend again, especially one who understands my playful side. I’m an indoor-only cat, and that’s exactly how I like it—safe, cozy, and close to my people. Now, let’s talk about affection. I do enjoy being pet… but on my terms. I’m not really a lap cat, and being picked up isn’t my favourite thing either (I might give a little wiggle to let you know). When I’ve had enough attention, I’ll simply walk away—no drama, just setting my boundaries like the respectful gentleman I am. What I do absolutely love is playtime. Give me a toy mouse, and I’m in my element—pouncing, chasing, and showing off my skills. My playful personality is definitely one of my best qualities (or so I’ve been told). I’m generally relaxed and friendly around children, though like most cats, I do better with kids who understand when I need my space. If you’re looking for a fun, independent, and sweet companion who will keep you entertained and still enjoy some affection (on his schedule, of course), I might just be your perfect match.

Hi, I’m PoppyI’m a shy girl who likes to take my time getting to know new people and new places. At first, I may hang back and watch from a safe spot while I figure things out, but with patience, kindness, and a calm home, I can start to feel more comfortable. Once I settle in, I have the potential to show my sweet side in my own quiet way. I’m looking for a forever family who will give me the time and understanding I need to blossom.

Story
Hi, I’m Phoebe. I’m a beautiful 1-year-old girl who was found as a stray, and I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can feel safe and loved. I can be a little shy and avoidant at first, especially when I’m unsure or scared, but I’m a sweetheart at heart. Even when I’m nervous, I don’t get aggressive—I just need a little patience and understanding while I learn that I’m safe. With time, kindness, and a gentle approach, I know I’ll start to come out of my shell. What I really need is a family who will let me move at my own pace and show me that love can be a wonderful thing. Once I feel comfortable, I’m sure my sweet personality will shine through. If you have a soft spot for gentle souls and want to help a lovely girl feel safe and cherished, I might be the perfect match for you. Come meet me at PetSmart Dougall starting March 24th!
