We adopted Inari when he was a few months old from the Portsmouth Humane Society (his name was Sudoku). Inari is about 4 years old now. He is great with other animals, however he is shy and a bit of a loner.

Story

Ruby is a sweet, lovable little kitty. We found her in May of 2025 and she was just a few weeks old. We brought her in to our home and got her acclimated with our other cat. She had mammary hyperplasia after her first heat cycle, however she was spayed in November and the hyperplasia has slowly subsided since then. The vet said it can take a few months to fully resolve. Recently, she has not been getting along with our other cat. This came out of the blue, but since we have small children we do not want to take the risk of them getting hurt in the case the kitties have another tussle. She’s sweet and vocal, loves to sleep in your legs every night. We love her so much and this is an incredibly difficult decision for us. We hope whatever home she goes to can give her all the love and treats she deserves.

Story

Pepper is a kind and sweet boy. He enjoys cuddling and pets. He does not get along with dogs, but does show interest in other cats. I do not have another cat but he has been face to face with street cats in the neighborhood, shown no signs of aggression or retreat. He usually just stares out of curiosity and sniffs the air. I am putting him up for adoption because I believe now that it would be more beneficial for him to have a cat friend. I listed busy schedule as I am working a lot, and he seems lonely, and does not play much. He is healthy and up to date on his vaccinations. My current circumstance is not feasible to care for an additional cat in the near future. I just want him to be in an environment where he can thrive.
