Story
Bonded pair-please see the profile for Jacob's brother Citrus, two spoiled cats. (bonded pair please see Citrus' profile, Jacob's brother). Jacob is an adorable shy cat, he would do best in a home that is quiet. It may take him a while to warm up, but once he does he will come and seek you out and spend some quality time. He has a chill vibe after warming up, anxious vibe initially :) Jacob was adopted from a shelter about 18 months ago, he is 2.5 years old. They come with a large covered stainless steel litter box, automatic food dispenser, an automatic water dispenser, a scratching post, a small cushion chair that they like to sleep in, remaining litter, remaining food and cat toys!

Story
Adopted from a local shelter after being born about 3 years ago. Ellie is a polydactyl cat who loves to play and be adventurous. She visits the vet yearly and is up to date on all shots. We would love to keep her but our place is too small with our growing family.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the on-line application. Yes you must COPY and PASTE the application link. http://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ (It may refer to "dogs" because that is our primary rescue, but we are fine with using it for cats.) MUNCHKIN…is a true character. If you’re looking for a kitten with personality…she is IT!!! Her DOB is 6/17/25…and she has always been small for her age. She is only 5# and yet she is 7mos old. Besides that, she is fun, happy, playful, DEMANDS attention, no fear of anything. Look at all her pictures…see the spunk in her face? Yes, that’s her personality! She has been around dogs but only seeing them from her kennel and sniffing nose-to-nose on occasion. If she sees another cat, she doesn’t care. She has been raised with 2 other kittens. Here’s the story…She and Misty (see other ad) came in together but they are not related. They came from a couple living in the country and the kittens lived outside. BUT…they were handled a lot by the couple and all the people that came over. We got them to improve their nutrition (they were living on adult dog food) and to do the vetting. They have since been living on good kitten kibble, dewormed, spayed, 3 vaccinations, and Rabies Vax!!! They are doing GREAT! Shortly after I got them, I received a single kitten found in a school parking lot. I took him in and did the same…good food, neuter, and vaccinations. All of them started in kennels then I moved them to my large bathroom. I turned it into a kitten jungle gym with a cat tree; baskets to sleep in; a beautiful window to the outside to let the sun in. Of course there were plenty of toys. The only challenge is that you can’t use the facility without both Misty and Munchkin visiting…with great affection. It’s hilarious! They are also litter box trained …which is the self-cleaning box that rotates to clean! They love it! I have seen Munchkin play with trying to figure out what makes it move. Of course, after the cat jumps out there is a delay of about 30 seconds before it starts to move. I’m sure that’s to make sure they are out of the box and not to scare them. These kittens love it. Story
A cat who plays fetch??? Yep, that's Tilly and it's her favorite game!!! I will often hear her "chirping", look down and she has dropped her little ball right at my feet so that I will play fetch with her. For a while I had a second kitten, but I soon realized my place is too small so the Maine Coon was rehomed. Problem is, now Tilly is lonely for a playmate. I interact with her a lot, but in my heart I know she would really benefit from having another kitten/cat to play with and to groom. She tries to groom my fingers and my nose, but it's just not the same! LOL I will likely be retiring soon and plan on traveling a lot, so Tilly, unfortunately would be boarded during these times. As much as I will miss her, I need to find her a home where her people and hopefully another feline(s) would be present regularly. Do you have a cat who needs a playmate... she also seems to get along well with non-aggressive dogs! If you are interested in meeting Tilly, please reach out to me!
