Story
Are you shy? Do you have a past? Well, so does Jim. He came to us from a not so nice person. He was shut down and terrified of everything. Now after some work and confidence building he is learning to trust and to love again. Jim is a special guy who just needs patience to make you a friend. He loves other dogs but not so much cats. He is great with women after you've earned his trust. Men are harder for him unfortunately but if you're willing to be patient then maybe you could take a chance on this handsome guy. Once you earn his trust he is the most amazing, loving, kind, silly boy you'd meet! If you're anything like him and have a past you know just how hard it is to gain your trust but when people do you're the best thing in the world. Could he build trust with you? If Jim seems like the perfect boy to take a chance on, please apply on the MACS website!May 27, 2024, 7:18 pm

Crystal is shy & timid, but sweet as candy. She will act shy at first, but after she learns to trust a person, that person will have the best friend in the world! Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. THIS IS A COURTESY POST PLEASE TEXT/CALL (770) 364-8396 FOR MORE INFORMATION.  Foster notes:  Shelter has Enzo listed as a cattle dog Great Dane mix however I feel like he’s more on the red Mauro Catahoula mix. He came in with two other dogs female and a puppy that was assumed was his puppy. He’s about five years old. He is low energy medium activity. Enzo does like long walks.  He does like to play. He loves tennis balls, he likes to explore and be outdoors. He is crate trained with treats. So far he is housebroken. He loves all people. with proper introductions I think he’d be absolutely fine with other dogs.          Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hi there, I'm Smokey! I'm a young pup, full of energy and ready for some fun. I was an owner surrender, and they said I am crate and potty trained, but please get me on your potty schedule when we get home. My days are spent playing, exploring, and figuring out new puzzle toys. I've been told I'm quite the smarty pants! Always solving the new enrichment opportunities my friends here make for us! I'm a bit of a goofball too, always ready to make you laugh with my silly antics. I'm not a fan of cats, but I love adventures! I've got these two different colored eyes that people seem to find fascinating. It's called heterochromia, but mine is cooler as I have sectoral heterochromia in both eyes! I kindly ask to meet my prospective doggie siblings in order to be sure we'll make the best of puppy friends. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend, a playful companion, and a dedicated adventure buddy!Weight: 50lbs Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 50.8 Age: 1yrs 5mths 3wks
