Our family will be moving, and due to needing to downgrade our lifestyle and move in with other family members, we are unfortunately unable to take our wonderful 2-year-old dog with us. He is a male Catahoula Leopard, neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. He is great with kids, and we’ve made several attempts to rehome him, but have been unsuccessful. At this point, we are hoping to find a safe and caring environment for him.

Name: Charm Age: 6 Months Sex: Female Breed: Catahoula x Hound Mix Good with: Kids & Dogs (Cats Unknown) Bio: Charm is a 6-month-old Catahoula x Hound mix with a gorgeous spotted coat. She's also the perfect size—only about 30 pounds and likely not getting much bigger. She's playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart. In just a few days, she's already learned basic commands like "Sit," "Kennel Up," and "Okay." Charm loves toys, tug, fetch, walks, and especially playing with other dogs. She'd be happiest with a playful pup sibling or a tolerant dog who doesn’t mind her silly wrestling moves. She adores pre-teen and older kid shenanigans—they’re the most fun in her book! She's crate-trained, doing great with housebreaking on a consistent schedule (she even bumps the door handle when she needs to go out), and is very food motivated, which makes training fun and easy. Like most puppies, she can be jumpy or a little mouthy when excited, so she’d do best with a family ready to help her polish her puppy manners. Charm is ready to charm her way into her forever home! Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
