Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dominic! This boy is ready to head to NJ, he just needs an adopter or foster to make the trip  Meet Dominic — the Spotted Boy Wonder!    If joy had spots, it would look exactly like Dominic. This 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog never met a play session he didn’t love or a human he didn’t want to greet with a big goofy grin. He’s a social butterfly (or maybe a social cheetah?) who loves other dogs, belly rubs, and anything that squeaks.   He’s also an inspiration in resilience—Dominic tested positive for heartworm, but he powered through treatment like a champ, thanks to his wonderful foster mom. Now he’s healthy, heartworm-free, and ready to move on to his next big adventure: finding his forever family.    If you’ve been looking for a four-legged best friend who makes every day brighter, Dominic is your guy. —you’ll fall for him faster than he chases tennis balls!    Dominic  is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  His  adoption donation will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rocky is with our rescue partner down south and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter for him.   Meet Rocky — the big-hearted goofball who’s ready to fill your home with laughter and love!   This handsome boy has been in foster care for six months and has shown what an incredible companion he can be. Rocky is gentle, good-natured, and loves people — especially kids. He’s also great with other dogs and always up for some playtime in the yard.   Rocky is a fun mix of outdoorsy adventurer and laid-back house buddy. He loves being outside but settles in nicely indoors (even if he sometimes moonwalks across tile floors — it’s hilarious!). He listens well, corrects easily, and while he might occasionally be tempted to chase a cat, he stops when told.   Because of his size and energy, we think Rocky would do best with older kids who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiasm. He’s not a fan of chickens and might dig if he’s bored — so an active family who enjoys playtime and walks would be perfect for him. At heart, Rocky is just a big baby who wants to love everyone. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, affectionate dog who will always make you smile, Rocky’s your guy.   Rocky is up to date on vaccines and treatment. He is already fixed and his  adoption donation is $550. Story
Meet Lilith! Lilith is a 2-month-old Catahoula mix with striking facial features and perky ears that give her a curious, alert look. She’s one of the smaller pups in her litter and sometimes gets a little overwhelmed when playtime gets hectic—but she always finds ways to stay busy, whether by tossing around her favorite small toys or exploring on her own. Lilith enjoys interacting with her siblings, though she can get a bit feisty and may need gentle redirection during play. One of her favorite pastimes is sitting by the window, watching the world go by. Housebreaking has just begun, and she’s currently using pee pads. She does sometimes treat them like toys, so a watchful eye and consistent guidance will help her master this skill quickly. Lilith is a sweet, spirited little lady ready to grow and thrive in a loving forever home! Lilith is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $550. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Woody! Woody is a 2-month- old, black and white 7-lb Catahoula Leopard mix who is VERY curious about his world and all that is in it! He's at the age where all he really wants to do is eat, play, and sleep, with play being paramount. Woody wants to be involved in everything, see who is playing with who/what and where. He's not afraid of getting into a wrestling match with his bigger siblings, he can hold his own! He will never be late for a meal; when the bowls hit the floor, he is THERE! Since he’s still a puppy, potty training is barely getting started. He and his littermates have access to pee pads, and hits them most of the time. He does like his down times to recharge his batteries, and he also loves to curl up with his siblings into a puppy pile! Woody is being fostered in Staten Island, NY and his adoption fee is $550. Story
Meet Diane! Diane is a 2-month-old Catahoula mix and an absolute stunner. With her beautiful merle coat—featuring a soft grey base with striking black markings—and her adorable forward-flopping ears, she’s sure to catch your eye. She has a slightly compact body with legs that seem a bit longer than her siblings—if she were human, she’d definitely have a future on the runway! Like many puppies her age, Diane’s daily routine revolves around sleep, eat, potty, and play—not always in that order. She has a playful, outgoing personality and loves to stay busy, whether she’s picking out a toy, wrestling with her siblings, or joining in on a lively game of chase. Diane is never one to sit on the sidelines! At this young age, she’s just beginning her house training journey. She currently has access to pee pads and is already learning to use them, and with consistency and guidance, she’ll continue to make great progress. If you’re ready to bring home a playful, beautiful pup with lots of personality, Diane might be the perfect match for you! Diane is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY.
