Story
Negra is a young Chihuahua mix with a gentle soul and a whole lot of love to give. Like many Chihuahuas, she can be a little nervous at first, especially in new situations, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines through. She’s sweet, loyal, and deeply people-oriented — the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. Negra has that classic Chihuahua sensitivity and awareness, making her very tuned in to the emotions around her. With a bit of patience and reassurance, she relaxes quickly and shows just how lovely and affectionate she really is. Negra would do beautifully in a calm, loving home where she can build confidence at her own pace and be cherished for the gentle, devoted companion she is. 💛

Story
Fourteen small dogs are beginning fresh chapters after being rescued together from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Stockton, where more than 30 dogs were living in severe neglect and unsanitary conditions. These precious pups — a mix of Maltese mixes, Chihuahua mixes, and Terrier mixes — have endured far more than any dog ever should. Many arrived with severe matting and painful urine burns, and we’re getting them all to the groomer to finally feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. Beneath it all, they are truly gorgeous little souls. Understandably, this transition is overwhelming for them. They’re a bit scared and unsure right now — but even through the fear, their sweetness and gentle nature shine through. They lean in for affection, accept love, and remind us just how resilient dogs can be. These babies will need patient, compassionate homes where they can decompress, feel safe, and learn that the world can be kind. In return, they’ll offer deep gratitude, quiet companionship, and the kind of love that only a survivor can give. If you’re looking to make a life-changing difference — for them and for you — one of these little ones may be waiting just for you.

Story
Meet Trixie — an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with endless spunk and a heart full of love! Trixie is a tiny acrobat with a big personality! This darling girl warms up quickly to her people — especially the men in the house — and once she trusts you, she becomes the sweetest little lap dog who just wants to be near her humans. She’s absolutely a people dog and loves being part of the action. Trixie has impressed her foster with how confident she is in daily life — no noise phobias at all! Fireworks? Didn’t flinch. Vacuum cleaner? She just strolled around like it wasn’t even there. Kitchen clatter? No reaction. This girl is unbothered and brave in the best way. She’s also a surprisingly athletic little thing — scaling the back of the couch or recliner like a mountain goat! Her antics will keep you smiling, and her tiny body is filled with big charm. More about Trixie: * 8 years old * Potty trained * Easy on leash * Total lap dog * Warms up quickly and bonds strongly * Acrobatic, confident, and adorable * No noise sensitivities * She doesn’t like to be away from her people and may guard her favorite lap Trixie is ready to bring joy, affection, and lots of personality into her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion who will adore you endlessly, Trixie may be your girl! 🐾
