Story
Please meet Butterball and read what his fosters have shared about him. 💛 Personality & Temperament Butterball is incredibly sweet and thrives on being close to his person. He’s happiest curled up in your lap or snuggled beside you at night—he’s a champion cuddler who sleeps quietly through the night. While he enjoys playtime, he’s not overly high-strung and is perfectly content relaxing and keeping you company. He has a naturally funny, quirky side and isn’t shy about showing it. His unique mannerisms and playful spirit make him an entertaining and lovable companion. 🧠 Trainability & Behavior Butterball is very smart and eager to please. He learned the “sit” command in just one day, and with consistency, he has the potential to learn so much more. He: • Comes when called • Is not destructive • Is not a runner/escape artist • Bonds deeply with his human He would benefit from: • A structured potty routine (currently uses belly bands due to marking) • Continued positive reinforcement training, especially on walks 🐕 Social Skills Butterball currently lives in a condo with four other dogs and gets along well with them. He can be reactive to other dogs on walks, but he responds well to positive reinforcement and does best when walked solo rather than in a group. When with a pack, he may try to take on a “leader” or “enforcer” role. With cats:
Butterball can coexist with cats, but it depends on the cat’s personality. He enjoys play-chasing (not aggressive), so a confident or patient cat would be the best match. With kids:
He has a gentle disposition and may do well in a home with respectful children. 🏡 Ideal Home Butterball would thrive in a home that can offer: • Consistent structure and routine • Continued positive reinforcement training • Plenty of affection and lap time • Patience as he works through minor habits like marking He doesn’t require a yard but would benefit from regular walks and guidance to build confidence and good leash manners. 🌟 Why Butterball? Butterball is a devoted, affectionate little companion who truly wants to be your best friend. His sweetness, intelligence, and hilarious personality make him a joy to have around. With a little structure and continued training, he’ll blossom into an absolutely exceptional companion. Please apply for Butterball if he sounds like a match for you.

Story
Playful, athletic, fun, loving pups! Although small in size they are big in personality. These pups will thrive in an active home that has time for socialization and consistent training. Her foster had the following to say about Aspen: In a litter of affectionate puppies, Aspen stands out as the most affectionate. She just has to tell you how much she loves you, and then tell you again five minutes later. She is the most likely to be following me around the garden. Born and raised with love in foster homes, she is friendly, clever, curious, adventurous, athletic, playful, and affectionate. Aspen is the fastest to come on command and is very treat motivated. She adores the resident terrier (while respecting his boundaries) and has spent time with a giant Bernese Mountain dog without fear. She's had a play yard with all kinds of objects and materials to climb and play with, and supervised free play in the garden, which has made her confident when going about the world. Aspen loves to run, wrestle, play with toys and cuddle. She shows no anxiety and easily shares her food and toys. Her nickname is Peaches for her peaches and cream coloring. She has low maintenance very short and sleek fur and is looking like she will be lean like her mom.

Story
Please meet Elara and read what her foster has shared with us. “ Elara (Lar Lar) is an adorably shy, sweet as can be skinny little chi. She spends most of her day cuddled up with my other foster dogs on the couch. She’s pee pee pad trained and is doing incredible learning to also go outside; she’s such a great walker! She loves other dogs and finds joy playing with the small ones; for that reason I think she’d do well with another dog in the home, but she also loves to soak up all the attention so a no dog home could be a fit as well. She’s hilarious and loves to get her long legs out so you can scratch her whole belly. She would do great with adults or older children. Once you win her trust, she will want to play with you and sleep right above your pillow. Elara has a heart murmur that truly doesn’t seem to affect her whatsoever; however, her adopter should be willing to take her to yearly check ups and avoid extreme exercise. She’s on meds and we are hoping to find her a calm laid back home- she’s only 2! With the right family, she has a long life ahead of her.” Please complete an application to meet her if she sounds like a match for you.
