Story
Minnie is an 8yr. old 'Chug'. She is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and happiest in a calm home where she can relax near her people all day. She loves to play, snuggle up on your lap and sleep under the covers for as long as possible. She has been with us for 6 yrs. but our home situation has changed and we need to find her a new loving home. Minnie is VERY food motivated, and treats are the quickest way to win her heart. Once she trusts you, she becomes deeply loving and devoted. Like many Chihuahuas, Minnie does have some fear/anxiety issues. She can be nervous around strangers and reactive toward other dogs, especially larger ones. Slow introductions, patience, and MANY TREATS help tremendously. Because of this, she would do best in a quieter adult home with someone experienced with small anxious dogs.Minnie is healthy, vaccinated, funny, snuggly, and full of personality. We love her deeply and want to find a home where she feels safe, understood, and adored

Story
Noni is a very sweet, small female terrier mix. We adopted her from a rescue last winter. She was fearful when she first came to us but now she's very trusting she loves to go with us on the leash, she's paper trained, and she likes to go outside in our enclosed backyard. She's very smart and adopts well to new situations. However, she might be a bit, fearful at the beginning.

Story
Noni is a sweet darling smart little dog. We adopted her from a rescue in Modesto California in February. She was fearful at first, but she's taken to us and is with us constantly and is a good little Pet friend. Unfortunately we have to move and the apartment does not allow dogs. So we're in this process of feeling very sad that we have to give her up and hoping we will find a person with a kind and loving heart and the trusting nature.

Story
Winston is a sweet, sensitive boy who’s just starting to show his true personality. He took a few days to warm up in his foster home and can be a little shy at first, but even early on he sought out closeness—sleeping right next to his person and happily accepting gentle pets. Now that he’s settling in, he’s affectionate, playful, and loves being near his people. He enjoys toys and will engage in short bursts of play, but he’s just as happy curling up beside you for a nap. Winston is a quick learner—he’s already figured out stairs by following another dog and has learned to sit for treats. He’s making good progress with house training and will benefit from continued consistency and routine. Winston does well with other dogs and really gains confidence from having a calm canine companion around. He coexists nicely with dogs on walks, though he can feel overwhelmed by very high-energy approaches and prefers polite interactions. On leash, he’s off to a great start—walking calmly with no pulling or reactivity. He’s food motivated at home and eager to learn. Winston would do best in a patient, steady home that can give him time to continue building confidence. A home with another calm, friendly dog would be a big plus.

Story
Jetson is an 11-year-old chihuahua mix who weighs around 23 lbs (and could lose a pound or two). This little guy is a little nervous with new people, and needs to take things at his own pace, but with the right home, we know he will flourish. He enjoys sunshine, sniffy adventures, respectful small dog friends, and taking life one careful step at a time. He would do best in a quiet home without small children. Jetson walks well on leash and takes treats gently. He may not be ready to fly straight into your arms… but for the right person, this little guy is absolutely worth the journey.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Oz is a 12-pound sweetheart with a gentle, easygoing nature. He may be a little nervous at first, but he’s incredibly sweet and truly just wants a cozy lap and a person to bond with. His favorite things are napping and cuddling, and he’d be a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, low-key companion. Because he can be sensitive, Oz would do best in a quiet, predictable home. An energetic or chaotic environment—whether that’s busy humans or a high-energy dog—would likely overwhelm him. A calm resident dog could be a great influence, or he’d also be happy as your one-and-only. With a little time, a routine-based approach (and a lot of love), we think Oz will come out of his shell and really settle in within a week or two. He’s decent on leash but can get nervous and may stop to take things in—this should improve as his confidence grows. He is house-trained. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving little companion to share your couch and your heart, Oz might be your guy.

Spike is a 22-pound sweet, albeit nervous, boy who is looking for a human’s lap where he can acclimate. He’s dog-friendly. A calm resident dog or someone who is home more often than not will help Spike gain confidence.
