Max and Punzel (Maximus and Rapunzel) are brother (brown) and sister (black and white). We have had them since they were little and had them for one of our kids who has since left our home. They are very well trained. When they go out, they will quietly sit at your feet looking up at your face, and when they see you, they start running to the back door, stopping now and then to make sure they are still following. They are very cuddly and are very low maintenance dogs. Because they are little, they don't need long walks but can run around in the house. They enjoy wrestling with each other and chasing each other which is a lot of fun to just watch.

Story
Hi, I’m Rocco — but my friends also call me Rocky Road or Buddy! I may be a compact guy, but I’ve got a big personality and an even bigger heart. My DNA says I’m a mix of Chihuahua, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Jack Russell Terrier — which basically means I’m equal parts spunky, athletic, and loyal. I’m housetrained and a total gentleman in the home — no crate needed. I’m a happy, social guy who loves being part of whatever you’re doing. I’ve been walking 2 to 4 miles a day with my foster, and I absolutely love it. I’m fast, agile, and always ready to zoom around the yard or go on an adventure. I also love toys, bones, and anything that keeps me busy — especially if snacks are involved (I’m very food motivated!). But don’t worry — I’ve got a great off-switch too. I’m just as happy relaxing on the couch, riding in the car, or snuggling up right next to you. I know “sit” and “down,” and I come when called… most of the time. If I don’t, I might just be pretending I didn’t hear you — keeps things interesting, right? I’m also a professional cuddle buddy and would be more than happy to share your bed. I get along well with other dogs and tend to be fairly submissive, especially with females and smaller males. I will admit… I really love attention and might wiggle my way in to get it, so I do best with a laid-back dog who doesn’t mind sharing. I’d also be perfectly happy being your one and only. I’m great with kids and love being part of a family. I do have a high prey drive — I take my yard patrol duties seriously! I’ll keep your yard free of rabbits, squirrels, mice, and anything else that runs… and I might even bring you a little “gift.” Because of that, I’m not a good match for homes with cats or small animals. I’m strong and athletic (did I mention that?), and I can clear a 4’ fence pretty easily, so I’ll need a secure 6’ fence or to be kept on leash when I’m outside. I’m the perfect size — small enough to snuggle, but sturdy enough to keep up with you. I’m active, affectionate, and super loyal, and I really just want to be close to my people. I love my foster home and my people here… but I’m ready to find my forever family — one I can call my very own. Could that be you? Rocco’s standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for cash or check payments, making the fee $450. The adoption fee covers: Spay/neuter surgery Age-appropriate core vaccinations Fecal testing and deworming Flea and tick preventative Microchipping To be considered for adoption, we require: A fully completed application A phone interview A meet-and-greet with your entire household Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting — it simply begins the review process. Sweet lil' Osaka is a 5.5 year old, 6 pound, female long-haired Chihuahua! She's doing pretty well with other dogs and knows how to let them know when she's had enough attention. We think she'd be fine with cats, and probably a bit shy but fine with kids, too. So far, Osaka's keeping her crate clean, but also seems fine with free roam. She's doing very well with potty training, too! She's a very sweet girl who likely won't need a lot of activity in her forever home. She has the most adorable head tilt and her tail never stops wagging! She loves to give kisses and, although she is nervous at first, we think she will thrive in a home willing to be patient and help her learn how to do all the dog things! Osaka's adoption fee is $550
