This tiny guy is Barkley! He weighs in at a whopping 6 pounds! At 3 years old he is hoping to find his forever home after being moved around quite a bit. He was returned to the local animal control we pulled him from due to potty accidents in the home. He does have occasional accidents indoors. With him being so small, it is likely hard for him to hold his urine for long periods. He would need a family who is willing to work with him with possible potty training or just frequent trips outside to potty.He does have luxating patellas on his back legs, which cause him to walk a little funny at times, but do not cause him pain. Our vet believes Barkley is in good shape, and as long as he stays at an ideal weight, he is unlikely to have issues with his legs.He's a sweet little dude who really just wants to be by his people. He's a vocal guy who will let you know he wants attention and to play. Barkley has met dogs of a wide range of sizes and ages and seems to do well. He recently attended an event off-site and met some young kids and seemed to do okay with them as well.

Diego and Dora came to us as unclaimed strays, ready for a fresh start! Diego is a 1-year-old chihuahua mix, weighing around 15 pounds. He's a very sweet guy, who will jump up for attention and pets. He enjoys his walks and sniffing around. Diego and Dora are a bonded pair and are looking for a forever home together. They are not a huge fan of other dogs. We are still learning about them and will update their bios as we go!

Fred (black male) and Wilma (white female) came to us from DuPage Animal Shelter. Their ages are 3 and 4. There sweet pups are super lovey! They are playful and then snuggly. They are currently in a foster home learning the ropes, which includes potty training. They do not enjoy being crated in their foster home, but traveled on transport in one and dog well. Fred and Wilma are a bonded pair so they must be adopted together. They are also afraid of big dogs so a home with one isn’t ideal for these two. Ty is fun loving, full of personality, loves to give kisses and be kissed on his neck. He leans back as if to say, "kiss me". He is dog social and people social. Sometimes takes a few minute to warm up to new people, but this is to be expected. His a little guy in a big world. He is crate trained and housetrained. Ty has a grade 3 heart murmur. He does not show any symptoms of having issues with his heart and most likely was born with the murmur and his body functions as normal. He is such a great dog and deserves a family who will provide him with a backyard to wander, he loves exploring, climbing the garden walls, investigating under trees and bushes. He stands in a tote to take his bath and loves being wrapped in a warm towel to dry off. He wears sweaters to combat the cold and PJ's for fun.
