Meet Oliver, a dashing 11-month-old neutered male Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix with a stunning long-haired blue Merle coat! This 14-pound sweetheart is a happy, friendly boy who gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, people, and kids. While he might take a little time to warm up to strangers, Oliver's loving nature shines through once you get to know him.

"His personality is starting to shine! He loves snuggling, bellyrubs, being carried around, all toys, playing fetch, getting scratched behind the ears, following you around, humans and all dogs, and playing with his favorite toy which is a plastic donut. He's not a huge fan of walking on a leash but tolerates it to do his business outside. He is a velcro dog for sure and must be with me at all times, he cries if I'm not in his line of sight. He even manages to squeeze himself under my desk while I'm working to be closer to me. He also gets nervous around quick movements."

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
