HICKORY was born 1/25/25. He is a Chihuahua and maybe a touch of Dachshund. He is currently 7# and I expect he will get to be about 10#. Hickory had the shortest legs of the group. He’s happy, playful, and loves people. He is the cutest of the group with his black face. He looks like he just dipped his nose into a pot of dark chocolate! Of the 4 pictures, the first 2 were taken on 5/4 and the last 2 were taken 4/4…exactly 1 mo apart.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
