Story
Sally is an absolutely adorable, super sweet, snuggly little lady who came into rescue with her siblings when her owner had passed. Thankfully networking was done and this incredible girl made her way, along with her sister, to a wonderfully loving foster home while she gets ready to find her forever home! Sally is about 5 years old. She had “Cherry eye” which is a dislocated third lid that was never addressed in her former home, which chafed her eye causing her to have a cataract in that eye. She has just had the surgery and that has been taken care of! But she will remain with the cataract in that one eye, while the other eye is great! She is a mixture of several breeds, but looos very chihuahua/pug/peke mix, and is an absolute dream! She weighs 18 lbs and is a happy healthy wonderful little nugget. Shes had all medical work completed including vaccines, deworming, microchipping, heartworm testing, deworming, and she is spayed! This sweetie is thriving and ready to find her forever home! Since coming into foster care, she and her sister have been absolutely wonderful. She has a very friendly disposition and is outgoing and social, welcoming love and friendship from everyone she meets! She is fantastic with other dogs. She of course loves to snuggle up with her sister, but makes fast friends with every kind dog she meets! She is also excellent with cats. She will play with toys and other dogs sometimes, but is for the most part on the more mellow side. Her favorite thing in the entire world is snuggling!! She has the cutest, most friendly personality. She sleeps in bed with her foster parents through the night with ease and is so wonderfully loving and easy going. She will do great on walks, car rides, other easy going outdoor activities, and she’s the queen of snuggly, cozy movie nights! She’s wonderfully behaved in the house and reliably goes potty outside. If this super adorable, absolutely fabulous little nugget is your dream girl and you’d love to give her a wonderful future, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!

Story
Welcome Missy to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Missy Gorda is a 2 -year- old Chug (Pug/Chihuahua). She weighs about 13 pounds and appears to be a good weight. She has the Pug body and is thick in the middle. She is very playful with toys. She is in a foster home with a large dog and Minnie and she does good with both. She isn’t a big shedder. She isn’t too vocal which is nice. She can use the doggy door and goes outside to do her business. She came from a hoarding situation and probably hasn’t been held much. She is a little nervous being held and has a bit of a stiff body. She loves her crate and will go to it when she is scared. The crate makes her feel safe. She is a wonderful little dog. She is really doing great in her foster home. We think the best home for Missy is a home with a partially or fully retired person or someone who has a quieter home. She would be great with someone that is more to themselves and doesn’t have a houseful of people everyday. She is a nice dog and when she is afraid she will retreat to her crate. She is getting lots of attention in her foster home and is doing great. She wouldn’t require a huge yard but a fenced one would be best for this girl. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Willoughby recently lost his foster home in CT and is currently staying with one of our wonderful boarding partners, but what he really needs is a home. Let’s help this guy get back on the couch where he belongs! Fast Facts: • Chihuahua / Min Pin / Schnauzer mix (yes, official DNA test!) • 5 years old, 22 lbs • Playful, fun, and spunky… but also a certified lap dog & snuggle pro • Can be a little anxious when left alone, but it’s been very manageable • While he loves certain dogs, there are others he is not at all a fan of. He would do best with a dog his size or smaller, and given slow, appropriate introductions. • Kids 8+ • Housebroken once he learns the routine • Sports a fabulous mohawk that deserves its own fan club Willoughby is such a great little dog and would thrive in a home environment. If you’ve been thinking about fostering - or are ready to adopt - this could be your guy. 🤍 Email us to learn more or to help Willoughby get out of boarding and back into a home!
