Story
Introducing Natasha! Humans are scary at first, and she will be skittish while she settles in and learns she can trust you. Taking her outside will, first, require some patience. As a flight risk during this skittish phase, a fenced yard and slip lead are needed. But with the help of consistency, calm cuddles, and treats- you will earn a ride or die bff, snuggle baby, that is very easy to care for. Once the trust is there, you become her rock! Take it from me, foster momma and this little nugget’s current bff. She becomes a little shadow that demands belly rubs and will sleep little spoon all night. Potty trained and knows how to use a pee pad for the long stretches, crate trained (although she’ll eventually rather be by your side), and fantastic with any other animal. Giant dogs, rambunctious kittens, she’s cool. All she needs is her human, a good dog bed and she’s a happy camper. Minimal barking, road trip approved (we just drove to Florida and back for the holiday). She did great! Kids might be a bit too overwhelming, though this hasn’t been tested. She seems to have a harder time with men; though this definitely has improved in time. I would say the primary caregiver should be a woman. The first few days, few weeks, will have their challenges. But once you get over that hump and her little wiggly butt is greeting you with a smile (literally), y’all will wonder how you could live without each other.

Daisy is black and grey and weighs 11 pounds, and Molly is black and tan and weighs 13 pounds. As a bonded pair, Molly and Daisy need to be adopted to the same home. Both girls are able to go potty outdoors or are able to use potty pads indoors. Molly and Daisy are both in good health. They have been fully vetted and are up to date on vaccinations. They are spayed and microchipped. They take monthly heartworm prevention. Molly and Daisy’s adoption donation is $500. Story
Meet Gremlin! Gremlin is an approximately six year old male chihuahua on the search for his forever home. Gremlin came into rescue after being abandoned- so as you can imagine he was quite frightened, thus how he earned his name- he showed his ferocious spirit trapped inside his tiny little body. This little chi thinks he's a very big dog, when in fact, he weighs 4.5 pounds. His size does not stop him from telling all resident dogs what to do (even the 50 pound one!) and doesn't keep him from telling his foster humans what to do either! He spends 95% of his day on someone's lap, mostly his foster dad's. He likes to burrow and when he allows it, he really likes belly rubs. He's a lot like a cat (even though he dislikes cats immensely!); he likes rubs one minute then he tells you he's done, and he expects you to listen! He now gets zoomies after being in foster care for a few months, and likes to play with toys. He burrows in his blankets in his crate at bedtime and enjoys snuggles on the couch. He would do well with a quiet home for someone looking for a lap dog to spoil, and not someone looking for a purse dog to take on outings. He seems to prefer men, but definitely tolerates his Foster Mom when Foster Dad isn't around. The longer he's been fostered, the better he's handling other dogs in the household, but he would likely prefer to be an only dog, and no cats (as mentioned previously). Gremlin can be a bit snippy, so we are requesting experienced Chihuahua owners only apply. The funniest part about this little cranky tank is he LOVES children and has been allowed supervised play time with older kids who have experience with little dogs only. Once he warms up to you, he's quite the love bug. He has big fears, and his future forever home must understand that and protect him from those issues in order for it to be a successful situation. Gremlin is very food motivated. Gremlin is mostly potty trained, and fully pee pad and crate trained. We do not take leash walks due to his legs, but he loves the fenced in backyard. Gremlin does have issues with his knees, so he's a tad wobbly. He cannot jump up on furniture but does expect to be picked up and put there. He can do the stairs. Gremlin is neutered, fully vetted, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is microchipped. He takes monthly heartworm prevention and is heartworm negative. Other than his knee issue, does not have any medical issues. Gremlin’s adoption donation is $300. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below. Story
Do you like your pups sweet and spicy? If so, Oreo may be the girl for you! Oreo is a precious 10 year old, four a half pound female Chihuahua in need of her forever home. Oreo is a sun-seeking snuggler and the ultimate lap dog. Tiny in size but HUGE in love, she’s happiest snuggled up close, keeping you warm and showering you with affection. Whether it’s Netflix time, coffee on the porch, or a lazy afternoon nap, she’s your perfect sidekick. Calm and loving, Oreo is ready to be your new best friend. If you’re looking for a loyal lap companion, this little lovebug is waiting just for you! Oreo also excitedly plays fetch. If you throw stuffed toys, she will chase and bring them right back to you! Oreo can sit up and beg for treats. Oreo gets along fine with the other three chihuahuas in her foster home, but does prefer the company of her foster mom over any of the other canines in the home. She is wary of men, so a female-centered family would be best for Oreo. She has not been cat tested. She would likely do fine around respectful older kids. Since she does well on a leash, she does not require a fenced yard. Oreo does not like to share her food or treats. She likes to eat in peace and quiet. When Oreo is approached by strangers or is frightened, she barks and likes to hide. She does not like to be pulled out from her hiding place but needs calm reassurance instead. Oreo would do best with an EXPERIENCED owner, someone who is patient but also firm. Oreo likes to go for short walks and enjoys all the sniffs along the way, and should get a walk daily to help regulate her nervous energy. Oreo puts herself to bed at night, snuggling right into her own little blanket. She sleeps all night long. Oreo is crate trained and can "hold it" all night. She is working on daytime potty training and is mostly successful. Oreo was spayed and had a dental in September 2025. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on her vaccinations. She is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. Oreo is also microchipped. Previously, Oreo was attacked by a German Shepard and suffered some broken ribs and puncture wounds. She has since healed up well from her injuries and doesn’t have any chronic medical conditions. However, due to this it is possible she may be afraid of larger dogs. Oreo’s adoption donation is $250. Story
Let’s get Baby out of the corner- err- the foster home! Baby Girl is a two and a half year old 7 pound female chihuahua ready for a family to call her own. Baby is playful and loving. She loves long walks and car rides, gets along with other dogs and even cats. She loves kids and playing ball. She loves to chew and will pull the stuffing out of regular toys. She is still a little leery of being picked up but will jump in your lap to snuggle as soon as you sit down. Baby is crate trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home! She hasn’t had a lot of experience outside and must be on a leash or in a secure fenced yard at all times or she’s off to explore the world. Baby is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all shots, and microchipped. She is in good health. She does take a monthly heartworm preventative. Baby’s adoption donation is $300.
