Bear – Sweet, Sleepy, and Searching for a Forever Home to Heal His Heart Bear is the kind of dog who makes you slow down, smile, and appreciate the quiet moments. This senior gentleman is soft, gentle, and incredibly affectionate — a dog who has weathered loss but still leans into love with his whole heart. He spends much of his time curled up in his small playpen, dozing on soft blankets, happy to watch the world from the safety of his cozy space. He uses wee-wee pads in his pen and will bark when he needs to go outside. Bear’s world was turned upside down when his devoted owner passed away. It’s obvious he was treasured — he loves being touched, being spoken to softly, and soaking up every bit of attention he can get. What he wants now is a calm, patient human who will help him feel safe again. He’s learning how to walk on a leash with a harness, but it’s still new and a little scary, so a fenced yard would help him feel calmer and more secure.
