PANDA Breed: Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher Gender: Female Weights: 7.12 Age: 6 months Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Yes House trained: In Progress Crate trained: In Progress Leash Trained: In Progress Energy level: Medium-high Health Concerns: Was treated for a URI. HW status: Too Young Spay/neutered?: Yes Tell us about this dog: Panda and her brother were rescued from the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter. Panda is a energetic ball of fun. She enjoys running and romping around with the other dogs, Playing with all kinds of toys, and getting all the belly rubs she can get. Panda has been with dog savvy cats and she does great with them. They all like playing together. It really puts a smile on all our faces when we come into the building and she is all tail wags and bouncing with excitement to get to come out of her kennel to play. Panda has a big personality in a little body. She can get bossy when it comes to feeding time with other dogs and has had to be corrected. She redirects quickly and will benefit with continue guidance of what is a acceptable behavior. Panda really is a great little girl and with continued guidance and love she is going to make a great family companion. Story
FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOMES NEEDED!! **Please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form** We would love to welcome Larry into the Fetch + Releash family on May 23! In order to secure a spot on the flight, we need a committed adoptive family. As a foster-to-adopt family, you'll be expected to take him home on his arrival date. You will then have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found. Each bio was created by our rescue partners based on their interactions with the dogs. Fetch + Releash has a full disclosure policy however we cannot guarantee a dog against parasites or diseases, nor can we guarantee a dog's nature/behaviour. Many of these dogs are coming directly from the shelter and so you should expect there to be a transitional period. Be prepared to deal with common issues like potty training, leash walking, and socialization. Cat and kid safety assessments are often based on their personality and not necessarily on actual interactions. Where possible, the majority of vetting will be completed prior to coming to Canada, however, foster-to-adopt families may be required to travel to our partner vet in Mississauga, ON for further vet care. During your foster-to-adopt trial, you'll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit. Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Larry / Male / 2 years old / 25 lbs / Corgi Chihuahua Mix / from Mexico Larry can be summarized as a low-rider ball of softness and cuddles. He is an incredibly gentle boy whose best friend is a baby chick named Jackie. Jackie sleeps on Larry's back and spends her days cuddled up with this sweet gentleman (yes, I promise this is real... we have video evidence). Larry loves all humans and animals. Reasons why you should adopt him: his fur is soft like a rabbit, his face is the most kissable face a dog has ever had, and he is goodness. He enjoys swimming and he doesn't discriminate against bodies of water... he'll take a pool, a tub and even a bowl of water. Larry is on the lower end of medium energy and will need two walks a day and plenty of canine enrichment. His new family should be prepared to support him with basic training such as potty training, leash walking and general commands. Larry is an adaptable dude and could do well in a home with a yard, or an apartment, so long as he is getting sufficient walks/exercise. Norton would make an excellent second dog as he is very fond of puppy pals. However, we think he would do fine in a home as a solo pet where he could soak up all the attention. Larry was briefly tested with cats and did okay. He has not been tested with kids, but we believe he can likely live with respectful children who understand doggie etiquette. His new family should monitor all introductions to ensure safe interactions. If you're interested in fostering with the intention of adopting, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Larry's adoption fee is $850. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CAESAR is a friendly, outgoing little guy who’s an owner surrender and through no fault of his own finds himself in our rescue looking for a new home. He’s neutered, vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. He has been seen regularly by a vet and his vet record shows he’s a healthy boy and the only thing noted is that he has the start of some tartar build up on his teeth. This little lap dog is a super friendly, outgoing little guy who wants to have a family that will have someone home with him most of the time to give him lots of attention as it’s important to him that he not be left alone all day. He just wants someone to love him and spend lots of time with him and enjoy having cuddles on the couch together as much as he does.   CAESAR is crate trained as well as house trained and is generally a good boy around the house. He likes children but will bark if they’re running around and chasing after him so we recommend they be aged 10 and up and will be loving and gentle towards him. He lived in a home with 2 cats and they were best of friends so he’d definitely suit a home with cats.  CAESAR walks well on either a leash or harness and loves to go on his walks so he’d need an active owner who loves walking as much as he does. He doesn’t bark at people or dogs on his walks but if there’s a knock at the door, well that’s a different story! We don’t recommend him going to a dog park with larger dogs as he’s just a little guy and could be easily set upon. It’s also not recommended that he be off leash until a strong bond has been formed between him and his owner and his recall has been tested for him to return to you. He loves playing with all sorts of toys, curling up on his dog bed and of course having treats. He’s pretty chill and well behaved and will easily fit in with most families but would probably suit an older household rather than a young family.  If CAESAR sounds like the little guy for you then please complete the adoption form to meet him. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 3, 2024, 4:00 am

Hello! My name is Romy!I am silly and cuddly but can be nervous when first interacting with someone new. I love neck and bum scratches once I warm up to you. I can be quite uncomfortable with handling. I am looking for a home that has patience and interest in training to help me feel comfortable with things like nail trims and vet exams. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No, I'm looking for an adult-only home. OTHER DOGS: Potentially, I don't seem very interested in other dogs so it would have to be a small dog who leaves me alone and gives me space as I seem to be more of a people-dog.CATS: Potentially, with cats confident and experienced with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has previous dog experience. FENCED-IN YARD: Not required.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.I'M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: No.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!
