Ralph came from a very sad situation with a backyard breeder where he was used for breeding and horribly neglected. Ralph does great with other dogs but is scarred of new people and it is taking some time for him to learn to trust humans so he is anxious around people including children. He still flinches when touched. He is making progress on house training. He will need someone who has experience dealing with very skittish dogs and has a great deal of patience and also a very secure fenced yard. He loves to sleep in his be under a blanket – a luxury he never had before coming to HART. Questions About this Animal? He is a joy, very calm and quiet. He is not overwhelmed by the other 5 dogs in the foser home. He seems to be housebroken and sleeps all night in his crate. He loves to be held and cuddled. Ziggy was evaluated by a veterinarian and was diagnosed with unknown neurological issue that effect his gait and his vision. He is young and healthy otherwise. He is currently on a dose of steroids to see if inflammation can be exacerbating any of the symptoms. We will be having him seen at a vet soon for possible vision impairment and to evaluate his gait.
