Look at this cute face!!! Rocco is a sweet, energetic, 8 yo, 17 pound chihuahua / pug mix. He was given up by his owner who could no longer care for him. Happily he is in a foster home where he gets along well with his foster dog siblings (who are small), loves to play with toys, and adores snuggles with his foster Mom. He loves his toys! Check out his video. He is the perfect size for someone who wants their dog to travel with them wherever they go - a pocket pooch. Let me tell you a bit about myself. First off I'm a big fan of my person or people. I love staying close to them showering them with kisses and soaking up all the belly rubs I can get. Home is where my heart is quite literally as I'm happiest when I'm indoors cozying up in my bed or snuggling in someone's lap. I recently finished heartworm treatment and did great throughout the treatment process. The doctor said I should have a full recovery and have a happy life thanks to a successful treatment plan. I won't have any special medical needs long term, other than continuing regular monthly heartworm preventatives to avoid reinfection, and can live a normal life. I've been resting and recovering well with my foster, and now I'm ready for my forever home! Luckily when it comes to activities I'm not too high maintenance. I enjoy short walks where I can explore independently but I'll also race down the hallway at lightning speed when the mood strikes. Playing with my favorite toys is always a blast and I have a particular penchant for socks and small articles of clothing. I like to collect them in one spot sometimes hiding them under couch pillows for safekeeping. But dont worry I wont actually damage them! Now onto my dislikes. I'm not a fan of being left alone but don't worry I'm not destructive. I might bark a bit to let you know I'm not happy about it though. Car rides also make me a bit queasy, especially the long ones. And let's talk about big dogs - they make me a tad nervous so I'll try to avoid them if I can. In terms of training, I'm still a work in progress. I'm dealing with some separation anxiety and I'm a bit shy around new people. But with a patient and loving family, I know I can overcome these challenges. I get along well with small dogs and I'm okay with calm medium-sized ones too. Overall I'm a playful affectionate and gentle guy with a touch of goofiness. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin I'm your Bear. Meet Ollie, a sweet and silly Chihuahua mix. While slow to trust, he loves to cuddle up on the couch or under a blanket once he does. He's very clever and loves to learn tricks, and he'll do almost anything for a piece of cheese. Despite his tiny legs, this 10-pound pup will walk with you for as long as you want. He loves sniffing around, but he'll bark at the people you walk past (just in case they want to hurt him, or you). Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying. But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle. Can you believe that underbite he has? I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him. It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through. He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from. My name is Prince Charlie and I am truly a dog with some royal habits in my everyday life. I was found on a rural back road in Tennessee and I just think that somehow my owners were misguided in dropping me off in the middle of nowhere. They didn’t explain but I think it was financial problems. But apparently the vet says that I am an adorable 8-year-old cream-coloredPug/Chihuahua boy with a heart of gold! I really don’t weigh much at all and the scales at the vet said 13 pounds. What I can say is that I am a strong and “bounce back “ boy that is ready to make your life happier and more loving with me by y our side. But listen up. I may be 8 years old, but I have a whole lot of energy to spare and so “senior” movements are not what I am all about at all. I can have the zoomies like the best of the youngsters out there. Hey…maybe they guessed my age wrong. Anyway, calling me a senior is maybe just in age but I don’t act like one and I don’t intend to. I am a boy that you can take out on walks, hikes, or social events outside and I will help you make more friends than you could ever imagine. I love all the dogs and cats at my foster home. I just love anything and everyone! The one thing that I am still learning after a short time in my foster home, is the house-training skills. But I can say that I am eager to please and so I am a great student trying to pass my house training exam. I am ready to be your fun machine, your love machine and your friendship matchmaker.
