Story
Todd House trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Todd is how affectionate he is! He loves to snuggle! Likes: Going for (short) walks, riding in the car, snuggles, playing with other dogs Hi, Im Todd, and Im todd-ally awesome!! Did that work? Maybe not, but you know what will? Me being your new dog! Promise! My foster family says that Im loveable to the core and a happy-go-lucky snuggle bug. Some of my favorite ways to pass the time are dozing on the couch, chewing on my toys, and giving my foster mom all of my love! Every dog in the pack has a role, and its my duty to make sure that my humans are never lonely! I take that job very seriously, and I spend most of my free time in my foster moms arms, just to make sure she always has a buddy. Dedicated, I know! When Im not working overtime as my foster familys emotional support Chihuahua, I love to play! I get the zoomies every morning, and like to run around the house with my toys! I love to play tug and chase, and chew on my bones too! Playing with my foster family is super fun, but I also love playing with my doggy foster brother. We also like to go for walks together, spend time on the couch together, and play at the park. We get along great, and Id love to have another dog in my forever home. Being an only child would be good too though! All the snacks and attention to myself! To add to my amazing personality, Im also very smart and well-behaved! I already know stay, down, and off, and Im very good in my crate. I sleep in there overnight, and its my happy place when my foster mom leaves on a dog-unfriendly adventure (remind me why those exist?). Id be a great fit for someone who works in the office, because I love my people, but dont mind alone time. I'd also be an excellent work-from home buddy, because I have mastered the art of being a work-day couch potato. My foster mom can attest to my excellent qualities as a supervisor, and I'm sure I boost her productivity tenfold just by being there! If you're looking for a gold star on your next performance review, I can help you get there! Probably! In my forever home, Id be equally content in an apartment or a home with a yard. Speaking of my forever family, Im really excited to meet them, and start sharing all of my love! Do you think wed be a good match? Apply to adopt me today! Story
My dear Ace was acquired January of 2022. He was a little puppy born a couple months prior. He will be 4 this November and is just a ball of energy. As my parents grow older it has gotten harder for them to take care of him as I work a lot during the day. He is very loving, joyous, and loves the attention!!

Story
Chihuahuas are some of the most beloved breeds in America today. Their small bodies and tender, loving souls bring the kind of affection that so many people are searching for. They don’t need much space or food, yet they give enormous companionship, loyalty, and joy. These little dogs want to be at the center of their person’s world, creating bonds that last a lifetime and leaving a legacy of love that endures even after they are gone.   Grant’s story is one of resilience and hope. He came from a home with too many dogs and not enough care, ending up in a tiny shelter in Tennessee, frightened and unsure of the world. Despite this uncertain past, Grant has a gentle heart and a sweet, affectionate nature that is shining through more every day.   Grant is a handsome 1-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with the most charming white sock “leggings” that make him truly stand out. He’s a tall little boy with a big heart, and though he can be a bit nervous at first, he is making remarkable progress in just two weeks with us. Like a child a little afraid of the dark, Grant simply needs patience, love, and gentle reassurance. Once he feels safe, he will gladly curl up in your lap, soak up attention, and shower you with affection.   He is good with other dogs, though sometimes a little bossy at first—likely a habit from his uncertain past—but he quickly backs down once he feels secure. Grant is mostly housebroken and does well in a home without a crate. He is a climber and clever little adventurer, so confining him isn’t the best idea. He thrives when allowed to move freely, and he won’t tear anything up.   Grant is a small dog with enormous potential to become a loving, devoted companion for the right person. He is ready to blossom in a home that will give him the patience and affection he deserves, one cozy, comforting day at a time.   To make Grant a part of your life, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Please include your city and state.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 12, 2026, 12:57 pm

Story
Elvis is the kind of puppy who steals hearts without even trying. This little Chihuahua mix boy, born around the end of January, came from humble beginnings after being dropped at a small shelter in New Mexico, but you’d never know it by the way he carries himself. With his expressive, slightly quirky face and those soft, trusting eyes, Elvis has a presence that pulls people in instantly. He’s confident, affectionate, and full of life—equally happy being the center of attention or curled up in your lap soaking in every bit of love. It didn’t take long for his foster mom to fall hard for him, and he’s already gotten used to the good life, complete with cozy snuggles and the occasional night sleeping right by her side.   Elvis thrives wherever people are. He’s been a natural at puppy yoga, happily making his rounds to greet everyone, and he charmed his way through a puppy birthday party like he was born for the spotlight. He approaches the world with joy and curiosity, always ready for the next adventure or the next cuddle session. He’s already showing great habits, using a potty pad by the door and even making it through the night without accidents when he’s tucked in with his person. Expected to stay around 15 pounds, he’s the perfect compact companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Elvis is the kind of dog who will quickly become the center of your world—and he’ll expect to be treated like it. If you’re ready for a devoted little shadow who brings both fun and affection in equal measure, don’t wait too long… he’s going to be hard to resist. Reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to make him yours before someone else claims this tiny king.

Story
This little Chihuahua Princess is called Giselle.  A lovely and delicate 2 year old 8.5 pound girl that once was part of a hoarding situation in a small town in Middle Tennessee. Over 15 Chihuahuas were removed from a home where they were living in horrible conditions and no one was spayed or neutered. We found this precious girl in the mix where she was among so many male Chis, but fortunately she was not pregnant.  It took a little time to gain her trust and confidence that where she was now, was a place of love and safety.   She is such a snuggle bug and starting to blossom into a precious little pocketbook traveler.  She is almost housebroken and she sleeps through the night in the bed with her foster mom and her 3 Yorkies.  Everyone has welcomed her into the dog pack at her foster home and she feels so comfortable flirting with the boys and running in and out of the doggie door to feel the fresh Spring grass under her tiny little princess size feet.  She is a Deerhead Chihuahua and should be no bigger than 9-10 pounds when her good and healthy weight is fully gained.   A true Chihuahua loving home is what she needs.  She will be such a diva Princess that will bring years of great joy to anyone's life.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 12, 2026, 12:57 pm
