Meet Isabella, a.k.a. Rizzie. She is a snuggly bundle of joy who loves burrowing under comforters, playing fetch with her favorite toys, sunbathing by windows, and running on the beach. She’s usually shy and polite at first but quickly warms up and reveals her big personality to new people and pets. Isabella is eager to please, which makes her extremely trainable. She is 100% house-trained and well-versed in sit, stay, come, etc. Currently being fostered in an apartment, Isabella takes walks throughout the day, but only needs two to three daily walks to "do her business." She is very loyal and will want to follow you wherever you go; however, she is also crate trained and does not have separation anxiety. Three-year-old Isabella is a cream-colored chiweenie who would fit in well in a house or an apartment setting, with or without another dog. (She will chase cats!) Isabella is looking for an active owner who enjoys lots of snuggle time, too. Could that be you?

Bella was one of 16 dogs rescued from a deceased hoarder’s house. Thanks to our partners, Hope For Paws, they got all of the dogs out. Bella is thriving with her foster. She is currently fostered with dogs and cats. She is polite, using the doggy door, happy and healthy. She obviously had a litter. We think the 4 6-month old pups we also got from the same place are her puppies. Imagine, this poor dog was still a puppy herself and had to go through a pregnancy and caring for a litter of puppies without any vet care or basic comforts. :( She is definitely a survivor!

This little man has been through IT! We pulled him from a city shelter after we received a plea that he was attacked by another dog in the kennel and was in bad shape. He also lost his ear and it was severely infected. He has made a full recovery physically but he is sometimes head shy with new people so you have to take it slow with him and let him move at his pace. He is probably younger than he appears but had a hard life before being rescued. He is fine with other dogs and cats. He would also be happy as the only pet. Crate trained, working on house training, great on leash, not a barker.

This tiny guy had a rough start to life. He is by far, the most shy guy in the bunch. He was rescued from a hoarding situation along with 15 other dogs. The last photo is who we think is his mom. She is also available for adoption. We are calling her Bella. She’s around 1.5yo. We estimate he will be under 15lbs when fully grown. Great with other animals. Working on house training. Shy but not snappy. Needs to build confidence.

Look for the info card in Spokes’ photos to learn more about him! Apply at Pupculturerescue.org/adopt Spokes came to us after being euthanasia listed at the shelter, where he was brought in as a stray and already paralyzed. He had wounds covering his legs from dragging around on pavement and was in terrible condition. That was back in April - and since then he has been incredibly loved and cared for in his foster home. Spokes is the absolute sweetest pup. He gets along with everyone! Like most paralyzed dogs, Spokes is incontinent and needs external pressure on his bladder to urinate. He defecates on a schedule. His care is simple and straightforward once in a routine. Our hope is that one day Spokes will learn to spinal walk. Spinal walking is a reflexive form of walking that the body can learn to do after severe spinal cord injury. He is doing GREAT in physical therapy (showing early signs of walking in hydrotherapy) which we will continue to fund until the money we raised for him runs out, even if he finds a forever home before then. Spokes is available for adoption. This adorable litter of puppies were found as a stray family in the fields of kern County. They are super fun, happy, playful adorable puppies. If you are looking for a small breed, fun and portable puppy, these are definitely your pups. Picture of mom and dad included. They are safe with a different rescue and now sterilized. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Kiwi and Mimi were used by breeders in a remote area north of Los Angeles and then dumped. They were found together and we think they are mother and daughter. They love each other and play and cuddle together as the best of friends. Kiwi and Mimi are both very person oriented and will gratefully soak up affection at the slightest invitation. They both enjoy going for walks and are leash trained and are excellent hiking companions. Kiwi and Mimi are also superb cuddle companions and love to snuggle up with you or just sunbathe. They are healthy, house trained, spayed, current on all vaccines and microchipped. Adoption only open to Southern California residents. We do not foster / adopt any of our dogs to households with children under 10 years old. A foster / adoption application must be filled out PRIOR to anyone meeting any of our dogs.
