Story
Lana is full of love, she's very affectionate, playful, loves outdoors specially beaches and green hikes. She's hypoallergenic so she doesn't shed like normal dogs. She's very soft. She's super super intelligent and requires daily activity. not just a quick walk so if you cannot be active with her play with her like fetch or take her to the hikes or beach daily then this would be hard. Unless you have a backyard and kids and puppies to play with her during the day. border collies are very intelligent and playful dogs and poodles come as second.

Story
Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##

Story
Meet Bailey 💙 — a handsome 5-year-old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd with striking blue and brown eyes and a fluffy tail.At 55 lbs, he’s healthy, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly flea/tick prevention.Bailey is house and crate trained, knows many commands (sit, stay, heel, place, and more), and enjoys learning. He’s social and does well with compatible dog friends. But, he may howl at them while on his walks. He’s very curious about cats, so a cat-free home is best. He loves couch time, belly rubs, and being close to his people.Goofy, affectionate, and loyal, Bailey will make you smile daily. He may need continued work with distractions on walks, but he’s eager to please and thrives with structure.Bailey is ready to bring love, fun, and companionship to his forever home 🐾Bailey's Reviews:"he was a perfect boy! " - his groomer"awww he's a hugger" - his vet "hssssss" - our cat (not a fan)

Story
#A5758631 Say hello to Spot,  a 1-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a big, sturdy build and the most eye-catching “cookies and cream” coat - velvety white splashed with grey and black, plus an adorable spot right over one eye! Though he was surrendered for alleged aggression toward other animals, we haven’t seen that at all - instead, we think this smart boy was just showing natural herding behaviors typical of his breed. At the shelter, Spot has been nothing but sweet and loving, even if he’s a little timid at first and could use some confidence building. Once he feels safe, he eagerly seeks out affection, handing out kisses and leaning in close to his favorite people. He’s shown polite curiosity around other dogs (even offering a cute play bow to a smaller pup!), though he may try to “herd” his friends from time to time. With the right structure, guidance, and outlets for his energy, Spot is sure to grow into an incredible, loyal family companion! -1 year 2 month old white and black cattle dog mix -86.5 pound neutered male -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before he can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 2/28/26 as an owner surrender due to alleged “aggression towards animals,” but we’ve seen zero sign of this and suspect it may be natural, not harmful “herding” behavior, like a cattle dog would do to keep cows or other livestock safe and together -super affectionate - big kissy boy that will lean in for all the loving once he feels safe     SPOT’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/KyYEDeFyT_I For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org     ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter.
