Story
Meet Nelson! This Collie mix is impossible to miss with his striking blue eyes and happy-go-lucky personality. After making the journey from a shelter in Kansas, Nelson is quickly learning that the good life is pretty great. Nelson is curious, playful, and always ready for his next adventure. He's a total rockstar on leash and loves getting out to explore and meet new people. Whether it's a neighborhood stroll, a mountain hike, or a trip to your favorite brewery patio, this boy is happy just being part of the fun. He's also doing great with potty training and is making progress with crate training. He sleeps in his crate overnight like a champ, though he'd definitely prefer to be wherever his people are. Super smart, goofy, and incredibly sweet, Nelson is the kind of puppy who will keep you laughing while stealing your heart at the same time. He's at the perfect age to continue learning, growing, and becoming your very best friend. All he needs now is a forever family ready to show him that life's greatest adventures are the ones shared together. Could Nelson be your new adventure buddy? ##2771090##

Story
Hela is a smart, beautiful husky/collie mix from a breeder--we always get comments on her wherever we go. Her first adopters rehomed her when they had a baby and she went to a family with wolf-dogs who were very aggressive with her. Because of that she needs time to get to know other dogs. She is bonded with Obi and we would love if they could be adopted together--we'll waive adoption fees for them if they go together! (Obi's pet ID is 9172295). She is absolutely great with cats. She is a funny girl and likes to “grumble-howl” when she wants something. She resource-guards large treats from Obi, so only give small treats that are eaten quickly. Hela was born April 11, 2019 so she just turned 7.We are rehoming due to children's allergies. Hela (and Obi) has lived in an apartment just fine with regular walks. Both are fully house trained, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and in great health!

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Skiatook Paws and Claws in Oklahoma at four months old, fixed, UTD on vaccines. *Casey had a series of cluster seizures in foster that resulted in her initially being pulled for medical evaluation. After visits to the ER and a neurologist, she has been diagnosed with an ongoing seizure disorder that requires strict medication administration every 12 hours. It is possible with medication that she will still have breakthrough seizures and potential adopters need to be prepared for more medical needs and financial commitments than the average puppy.* *Casey has been experiencing increased agitation that triggers seizures. Our vet has decided that Casey will need a home without other dogs or children to reduce this agitation and, in turn, reduce seizure frequency. She can absolutely encounter them in her day-to-day, she just cannot live with them.* From the foster: Hi! I’m Casey, and I’m a sweet, easygoing girl who believes life is better when you’re with your people! I love following my humans around, curling up at their feet, or snuggling beside them on the couch. Basically, wherever you are, that’s where I want to be! I’m also a social butterfly! I love meeting people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, and I enjoy meeting other dogs, too. I have a playful side and love romping with my foster dog sibling, although sometimes I get a little carried away and need a reminder to take a break. I’m a smart cookie and already know sit, down, sit pretty, shake, and come I’m working on place and stay, and I even know not to dash through the gate when I’m told to stay in the yard. I’m still working on my house training and puppy nibbling, but I’m making great progress with both! Walks? Absolutely! I’m a dream on leash and love exploring the world with my foster family. When we’re home, you can usually find me having a blast playing fetch with my squeaky ball. A good game of fetch followed by some couch cuddles sounds like the perfect day to me! I do have one important medical need my forever family will need to understand. I have a history of seizures, which are currently well controlled with medication twice a day. I will need this medication for the rest of my life. My family will need to be committed to my ongoing care, and in return, I promise to fill their lives with plenty of love, laughs, walks, squeaky-ball games, and cuddles. My dream home would be a calm household—preferably with older children, if any, because I’m still working on my puppy nibbling. A mature, calm doggy sibling would be wonderful, but I’d be happiest being your one-and-only. If you’re looking for a loving little shadow with a playful heart, a passion for walks and squeaky-ball fetch, and LOTS of love to give, I just might be your girl! I’m Casey. Come meet me—I think we could be pretty great together! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
I am a female dog named Boots and I am looking for a new home because my humans are dealing with health issues. I am a very happy 4-year-old Border Collie and Poodle mix who would love to stay local near Parker, Colorado.I am:• Potty trained and respectful of the home• Loving toward children and dogs my own size (20 lbs.)• Happiest when running outdoors, chasing balls, and going on daily walks• A fan of cooler weather over hot days• Scared of bigger dogs and uncomfortable near big pools of water• Eating a specific diet of Hill's Prescription Diet (chicken flavor) and healthy treatsI grew up in the mountains with a big fenced backyard, and because I get curious, I really need a safe and secure large backyard where I can play freely. I am a very happy dog coming from a happy home, and I am looking for a new family that can provide me with the quality care and love I’m used to!Rehoming fee: $400
