What we know: Litter of 3 (2F, 1M) transferred at ~2.5 months old from Operation Pawprints in Texas. Pups were found on their own after their mom was tragically killed. The family who found them cared for them until they were able to reach out to a rescue for help to surrender them.

- Early stages of potty training
From the foster: Meet Mae, a fluffy little ball of chaos wrapped in puppy fur and powered almost entirely by zoomies and cuddles. This sweet girl loves to run, play, wrestle in the grass, and then immediately crash into your lap for a LONG nap. She’s very vocal about her thoughts and feelings, so expect adorable puppy grumbles, “talks”, and commentary throughout the day.
Mae is obsessed with kids, especially the ones willing to get dirty, roll around outside with her, and show interest in her puppy adventures. She’s curious about cats but does a wonderful job respecting their boundaries (even when she desperately wants to know what they’re up to). With other dogs, Mae has a great balance of confidence and manners, she’s happy to approach and play while still respecting when another dog needs space.
She’s learning crate training and will gladly walk into her crate with the help of a few treats and some encouragement. Sleeping in the crate still isn’t her favorite thing in the world, but she does settle eventually, especially with a little white noise to keep her mind preoccupied. Mae is also working hard on potty training. She’ll use puppy pads in the house and does a great job going potty outside in the grass when given the opportunity she’s just still figuring out when she needs to go and how to tell her humans when she needs to go. Mae is also actively working on tackling the stairs.
Mae is pure puppy through and through silly, lovable, curious, playful, and full of personality. Whoever adopts this sweet fluff ball is getting a best friend who will keep them laughing, cuddling, and very loved for years to come.
