Story
Sadie is a 4MO adorable Mutt.  Sadie and her 3 siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road in Texas.  We are guessing she will be about 35-45lbs when full grown. We don't know how many of them there were originally, but unfortunately it's safe to assume there were others that didn't make it.  Once they were rescued they were brought to a local vet to get the proper care and support they needed since they were emaciated and dehydrated.  Once sadie and her siblings were healthy and stable, they made their way to our rescue here in CO where we are hoping they find families of their very own.  Here is what Sadie's foster Momma has to say about her: "This little pup is a bit shy at first but with treats and a few good belly rubs she’ll become your best friend! Once she’s comfortable with you, she won’t leave your side! Sadie’s a quick learner and is very treat motivated. She’s already learned sit and is doing really well with potty training. She sleeps through the night in her crate. We highly recommend having a crate for her at her new home. While she’d love to sleep with you, she has a very positive tie to her crate and we can tell it’s a place of security for her. Sadie is incredibly sweet and does well with other dogs. We’re working on walking a leash but she's doing great so far! She is loving and snuggly and it's been so fun to watch her learn how great humans and life can be when she isn't trying to survive on the side of the road." Meet Capri, the sunshine dog! Capri is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet. She absolutely loves people and has a warm, loving personality that makes her a joy to be around. When meeting new dogs, Capri can be nervous and may snap out of fear. She needs slow, patient introductions and time to feel comfortable. Once she gets used to another dog, she tends to relax and let go of some of her anxiety. She would do best with a dog who respects her space and isn’t constantly in her face. Capri enjoys getting outside for walks, and we’re currently working on improving her leash manners. She does very well with house training and rarely has accidents indoors, except occasionally when she has an upset stomach. Capri’s daily routine: Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. Dinner: 7:00 p.m. Favorite activities: Spending time with people and going for walks. What she needs: Patience with dog introductions, a little personal space, and lots of love. With her sunny personality and loving heart, Capri has so much affection to give. Huey is a 4 year old pit/border collie mix (we think?). He is a great dog, but he does not get along with our 2 year old son and has shown anxiety around him. He is an active boy, loves to run and play as much as possible. He is also a snuggle bug. Loves rubs and attention and will follow you anywhere. He is kennel and house trained and up to date with vaccines. He would do well in a home without young children or cats as he tried to herd our cats and needed to be kept separate. Older teens are fine.
