Story
Meet Bentley, a young, sweet, and somewhat shy dog. He`s got a gentle soul that`s just waiting to be nurtured. Bentley thrives best in the company of other dogs, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. He`s not just looking for a home, he`s looking for a friend. A companion who can help him come out of his shell and show the world just how amazing he truly is. Bentley`s journey hasn`t been easy, but his spirit remains unbroken. He`s ready to start a new chapter, to create a new narrative filled with love, trust, and mutual respect. Bentley deserves a chance to be part of a loving family, to experience the joy of a warm bed, and the thrill of a game of fetch in a backyard. Adopt Bentley and give him the opportunity to live the life he deserves.

Story
Rolly revels in having his belly rubbed while holding a tennis ball in his mouth! Still very much a puppy at the age of one, he’s 40 pounds of sweetness, friendliness and happiness once he feels comfortable around new people. Supremely loving towards his foster dad, he adores being the object of his attention, wants to be near him at all times, snuggling and cuddling, resting his head on him and sleeping on him. Blessed with the widest and warmest smile, Rolly also loves being outside, going for walks, runs and hikes, playing fetch and engaging with other equally friendly dogs. Passionate about PLAYING, he LOVES tennis balls and toys, particularly small plush toys, is, not surprisingly, motivated by toys and love, and currently knows “sit” and “no.” Never crated, at work on his puppy manners and house-training, Rolly relishes the idea of life in an extremely loving home, preferably with older children, that will polish his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him happily active fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Peabody's journey began when he was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets alone. After spending five days in "doggie jail," he found his way to the rescue  in search of a loving forever home. This charming pup is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. Described as a good boy with a heart full of love and energy, Peabody thrives in the company of an active family who can provide him with plenty of attention and playtime. He's adept at navigating the ins and outs of home life, being house, crate, and doggie door trained. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he's known to get along well with female dogs. However, Peabody does have a tendency to engage in fence fights with other dogs in his vicinity, which may require some training and supervision to manage. Despite this challenge, his affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion for the right family. Since October of 2022, Peabody has been patiently waiting for his perfect match at the rescue, eager to find a forever home where he can shower his new family with love and joy. ##1563395##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Welcome to Moe’s! So glad you’re here! While I might not be able to fold you a burrito, I can 100% snuggle like one. I’m 50 lbs of goofball and love showing my people affection. I’m about 3 years young and am a ball of joy to be around. When I’m out and about, people stop all the time to give me pets and say how cute I am (what can I say? Good genes, I guess). I know basic commands, including “sit,” “down,” and “kennel up,” and I will even shake your hand! I’m now working on perfecting my “stay,” “free,” “place,” “heel,” and working on table manners. I’m food-motivated, making training fun for all! I get along great with all dogs and even do well with cats! I play gently with my toys and enjoy a good roll around the grass or snow. I also absolutely love a good game of fetch! I possess an energetic spirit and would benefit from an active family, but I can also be lazy with you. I live for cozy moments on the couch, where I'm all about snuggling and receiving those coveted belly rubs. Leash walking is an ongoing learning experience. I can pull a bit when other dogs are around because I’m just so excited, but I'm an attentive listener. I have no doubt that with some structured training, I will be a great walking companion. I'm house-trained but still learning how to ask to be let out and do great with regular opportunities to do my business. I easily take medications if needed and willingly allow grooming. I will need a 5ft or taller fence as I have some ups!  I'm neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will receive heartworm treatment at the full expense of the rescue. Fill out an application now, as I’d love to meet you and potentially become your forever companion! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1969485##

Story
Hi! My name is Ian. If you are looking for an all-around good guy, that's me. Besides being extremely handsome, I'm well socialized, smart, and get along with anyone or dog. I love food! So training me will be a breeze as long as you have treats. My foster sister is teaching me how to walk nicely on a leash. And I'm pretty much potty trained. I am a cattle dog so I can be a bit talkative at times, but it's usually because I'm trying to communicate something to you. While I love my fosters, I am really looking forward to finding my fur-ever home. Come meet me at an adoption event! ##1884212##

Story
Hi! My name is Graham and I’m a mellow dude. I love to chill, give kisses, and cuddle with my foster parents. I also love to cuddle with my foster bro. He likes to play a lot so I play with him but when I’m left to be, I just hang. I am potty trained and walk well on a leash. I get along great with other dogs and love people. I am a little afraid of new things I haven’t seen before like a garbage truck, but after a little comfort and a few times of seeing it, I’m just fine! I’m also crate trained. I easily like to lay down in there and I sleep a full night with no barking. I rarely bark. I’m smart but silly too. I learned how to sit, paw, down, and be potty trained very quickly!    ##1944700##

Story
Hey there!  My name is Clementine but my foster endearingly calls me "lefty" because I do spins to the left.  I am the SWEETEST gal you will ever meet.  I will always greet you with tail wags and kisses and every time I see you will be like the first time.  I am blind in one eye and have partial vision in my left eye which we think is why I spin to the left. It helps me orient myself in spaces.  Despite my accident, I'm your typical puppy and I am 100% trainable and extremely smart! I eat my food and drink my water in my raised bowl/non tip so I don't knock it over.  I play with my favorite foster brother and chase him around or wrestle with him.  I walk on my leash well too!  I am very respectful of the other dogs in my foster home who don't want to play with me and take their corrections well.  I know sit like a pro, I'm working on stay, and "off" when all fours should be on the floor, and go right into my kennel when asked.  I am very food motivated! I love to be pet and cuddled and will snuggle up to the humans or my foster brother.  I love playing with my toys like any puppy does! I sleep in my kennel at night without a peep and make very little noise when I'm up in the morning and wait patiently to be let out.  I use the dog door and I am potty trained! I am such a sweet girl and know my perfect family is out there!   My forever home should have a yard for me to run around in, and humans who are home most of the time, long periods in a kennel are just not the best for me.  I would love if my forever home had another dog who loves to play, I promise to help tire us both out! Come meet me at Petco in Denver, 4100 E. Mexico Blvd from 12-3 every Saturday.  I will be so thrilled to meet you and show you just how sweet I am! ##1751442##
