Peabody's journey began when he was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets alone. After spending five days in "doggie jail," he found his way to the rescue  in search of a loving forever home. This charming pup is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. Described as a good boy with a heart full of love and energy, Peabody thrives in the company of an active family who can provide him with plenty of attention and playtime. He's adept at navigating the ins and outs of home life, being house, crate, and doggie door trained. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he's known to get along well with female dogs. However, Peabody does have a tendency to engage in fence fights with other dogs in his vicinity, which may require some training and supervision to manage. Despite this challenge, his affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion for the right family. Since October of 2022, Peabody has been patiently waiting for his perfect match at the rescue, eager to find a forever home where he can shower his new family with love and joy. ##1563395##

My story is both heart-warming and heartbreaking, but I'm glad I found my way back to the rescue organization that can help me find the forever home I deserve. I can be a gentle and loyal companion who simply craves the love and attention that every dog deserves. Despite the neglect I experienced in my previous home,I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue. My shyness and caution around men is understandable, but with the right patience and care, I'm confident I will blossom into a wonderful family member. Here are a few key points about you that stand out: I am a loyal and humble companion who appreciates the simple things in life, like gentle pats and a calm voice. I may be a bit shy at first, but will warm up to people and become the heart of the home. I would do best in a quiet, loving environment, and would make a great match for older children or a veteran looking for a furry friend. Despite the neglect in my past, I have adjusted well since being returned to the rescue.  I truly believe that with the right forever family who is willing to give me the time, patience, and love I deserve, I will flourish. Say hello to Travis!  He is definitely an extrovert and loves everything about life! He is quick to come bounding up to his foster parents and likes to play and engage with people and his puppy siblings. But he also has a snuggly side too and loves belly rubs! You will be hard pressed to find a cuter puppy than Travis! This little nugget is a Border Collie mix - Mom was a Border Collie and dad was mostly Border Collie. Make sure you research the breed and know the breed characterisitcs. They are known for their keen intellience and high energy. Mom was around 40 lbs. So far at ~9 to 10 weeks old, Travis is very small - maybe 10 lbs. A neighbor stepped up to rescue Girdy and her brother Norman when their owners moved away and abanondoned them. Thank goodness she saved these two sweet dogs because the are absolutely delightful! Both are very playful yet they have an affectionate, devoted side too. And they aren't just great looking dogs - they are quick learners too and take direction well . Girdy wants so badly to please you! Girdy is house and crate trained and learned dog door in a snap! Come meet this pretty dog!
