Meet Pepper  Pepper is an approximately 2-year-old, 37 pound cattle dog mix with the perfect blend of energy and melt-into-you affection. Pepper’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, so she needs some time to truly trust new people. During that time, she prefers to tuck herself under the bed or coffee table — her safe little hideaways where she can quietly get used to your presence. But once she decides you’re her person? Oh, she loves with her whole heart. When Pepper bonds, she bonds completely. She comes when called, seeks out cuddles, and will happily curl up on the bed to sleep close to you. She craves touch, gentle reassurance, and connection — and she gives it all right back. Despite her initial shyness, Pepper is wonderfully well-mannered in the home. She hasn’t been kenneled once in while she’s been in foster care and has never destroyed a single thing. She’s smart, respectful, and eager to understand what’s expected of her. This congenial girl lives with 4 other dogs of varying sizes and loves them all! Pepper enjoys playing and is pretty energetic in her play-style. She listens well when she is asked to settle down a bit too.  Leash life is still a little scary for her, but with patience, encouragement, and consistency, she will absolutely get there — especially because this girl is very intelligent and wants to please. Another friendly, confident dog in the home will help her continue to learn and feel safe. Pepper is looking for: A patient foster or adopter Someone who understands shy or sensitive dogs A home with another welcoming dog to show her the ropes A family who will give her the time she needs to trust — and then enjoy the loyal, adoring companion she becomes If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in watching a shy dog blossom — who wants to be someone’s safe place and receive unconditional love in return — Pepper just might be your heart dog. If you give Pepper the time she needs, she’ll give you everything. Marco is the ultimate cuddle buddy and is ready to be your adventure partner! His favorite things are diving headfirst into your lap for belly rubs, looking out the window, a good squeaky toy, and like any herding breed, fetch. He could play all day long - inside, outside, with a stuffed animal or a ball, he doesn’t care, as long as you’re throwing. He adores people, and is ready to snuggle at all times. So far he’s been great crated while left alone, happy to nap until you’re back at home. Marco is still working on his excitement while passing other dogs when out on walks, and he's highly food motivated, so if you have a stash of treats with you, he’ll be very attentive. While he’s still a bit suspicious of his harness, he’s getting braver each day, and has mostly mastered sit. He’s currently working on stay and down, and getting used to brushing and bathing, as grooming is definitely a priority with a coat as unique as his. Right now, he has a bit of a funky haircut on his midsection from his previous life, but it should all grow back eventually!  Marco’s high-energy disposition and adoring personality would be the perfect combination for someone who runs, has a yard to play fetch, or even works from home. He’s curious and loves to observe whatever you’re doing, and is eager to tag along from room to room. Marco is so ready to share all of his love with his forever family - just as long as they have plenty of treats!  ##2600144##
