Story
MATILDA WAS LEFT AT A CHURCH… DON’T LET THAT BE THE END OF HER STORY 💔 🚨 Someone left her at a church door… and walked away. No name. No explanation. No one coming back. Now Matilda sits in a loud, scary shelter trying to make sense of it all… wondering why she was left behind. She’s about 6 years old and only 25 pounds—a tiny, gentle soul who never asked for any of this. And here’s the truth about her: ✨ Once she’s out of the kennel, she is soft, affectionate, and loving ✨ She just wants to be close to someone ✨ Quiet, docile, and incredibly sweet ✨ Dog that will bond deeply once she feels safe She’s nervous in the kennel… but that’s not who she is. That’s fear. That’s heartbreak. 💔 She is not broken—she is just scared and needs someone to show her she’s safe again. Dogs like Matilda don’t do well in shelters… and they don’t get much time. 🙏 PLEASE — Matilda needs a calm, loving home ASAP. Give her the second chance she never got. Because being abandoned shouldn’t be how her story ends. PLEASE TEXT KAREN 4136298152

Story
ADOPT WANDA ✨ Wanda is a one-year-old auburn beauty, and at 45 pounds she's that perfect middle size — sturdy enough for adventures, small enough for the couch. At her last adoption event, she talked to everyone. Not nervous chatter — Wanda just genuinely did not want to miss meeting a single person. She takes treats gently, rolls right over for belly rubs, and hands out puppy kisses to anyone who gets close enough. This fun-loving Border Collie mix has a big, loving heart, and she's thriving in her foster home with KIDS, a DOG, and a CAT. Yes — kid friendly, dog friendly, cat friendly. All three. She's also house trained, crate trained, and settles quietly in her crate like a pro. Someone already did the hard part. All that's left is loving her. Ready to meet your forever best friend? Is that you? Story
Some of the very best dogs aren’t the ones who rush up to say hello—they’re the ones whose trust is earned, little by little, until one day you realize you’ve become their whole world. That’s Wintermint, lovingly called Winter by his foster family. Beneath his naturally timid nature is a playful, joyful young dog with a sleek, petite build and striking good looks, just waiting for the right person to help him continue growing into his confidence. Winter didn’t have the opportunity to learn that people could be trusted when he was young. After arriving from South Carolina, the world felt big and overwhelming. But in the safety of his foster home, he’s been quietly rewriting that story. Today, the shy puppy who once wasn’t sure about people has blossomed into the life of the party—at least with the ones he knows best. In his foster home, Winter races around the yard, wrestles with his dog friends, investigates every interesting smell, and greets each day with enthusiasm. Once he learns a routine, he follows it like clockwork, and because he’s incredibly food motivated, he’s eager to learn and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. If there’s one thing that makes Winter’s eyes truly light up, it’s other dogs. They are his comfort, his confidence, and his favorite companions. He looks to them for reassurance, joins in every game, and simply seems happiest when he has a canine buddy by his side. For that reason, he’ll do best in a home with another confident, playful dog who can help him settle in and continue showing him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Meeting new people is still something Winter approaches cautiously. He may hang back, duck behind his person, or inch close enough to investigate before deciding he’s not quite ready for pets yet. It’s not stubbornness—it’s simply his gentle, submissive nature taking time to process something new. Once he feels safe, though, you can almost watch his confidence grow a little more each day. Winter is naturally sensitive to loud noises, unfamiliar places, and big changes, so he’s looking for a family that understands that confidence isn’t built overnight. He’ll thrive with patient people who can let him move at his own pace while also encouraging him to take those important little steps forward. He’s already making wonderful progress with leash walking in quieter areas and will continue to flourish with consistency and encouragement. A quieter neighborhood will help make his transition easier, and while a fenced yard isn’t required, it would certainly be a wonderful bonus for a dog who loves being outside. Watching Winter discover that the world is safe is one of those experiences that stays with you. Every small victory feels enormous because you know how much courage it took to get there. The family who chooses him won’t just be adopting a beautiful dog—they’ll have the incredible privilege of helping him continue to bloom into the dog he’s meant to be. And they won’t have to do it alone. His foster family and our rescue are happy to provide guidance and support every step of the way. If you’re looking for a dog whose greatest joy is playing with his canine friends, exploring the outdoors, and building a once-in-a-lifetime bond with the person willing to believe in him, Winter is waiting. Wintermint is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family! www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Wintermint’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2676422&name=Wintermint Wintermint is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with him, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information and Wintermint’s name, and his foster or volunteer will be in touch. #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme ##2676422##

Story
Meet Finn! Finn is a 5.5 month old lab/collie/staffie mix and weighs about 28 lbs. Finn is naturally a shy guy and a very gentle soul. He likes to check things out first. He warms up rather quickly to his female humans but needs a bit of time to trust those male counterparts. Once he trusts, he is affectionate and extremely loyal. Finn is housebroken and crate trained. He sleeps great in his crate at night. Finn loves other dogs and lives for playing and tumbling in the yard (canine sibling & fence gives you bonus points). He would do well with a dog to follow, give him pointers and play with him. Finn lives with younger kids. He is hesitant but has no animosity towards them or anything in his life. Finn is pretty good on leash and will only get better if given a little practice time. He takes treats gently and is extremely food motivated. Finn has had a good start at learning basic manners and will need support in his new home as he grows into the best dog ever. Finn is looking for a special family that can let his brilliance flourish. Here is a link to his application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ZIVA/Dog
