Story
Charlie is a good dog who got a bad start.  We have no knowledge of his history and where he came from, but we are pretty sure he has not lived in a house with people.  When he first came to us, he hid from the dishwasher, barked at the television and ran away when first presented with stuffed toys.  He remains easily spooked by noise, but is improving – getting used to the dishwasher, the television, the stuffed dog toys and other day-to-day items in the house.  Physically, he was in pretty bad condition - He was positive for tick illnesses (we gave him Doxy and he is doing bettter now), his coat and skin were in horrible condition (we've given him good nutrition and he's looking a lot better), his teeth were Grade 3 dental disease (we gave him a dental and they are all clean now)!  Charlie weighs about 63 lbs. Charlie is a quick learner, and is adapting to life in a home with his foster collie sister.  He is learning commands and is starting to recognize his name.  We do not crate him, but leave it open and he often sleeps in there.  He is respectful of the house and items in it, and does not jump on the furniture.  He is very cooperative - He pretty much will stand still for almost anything if you ask him to especially if you scratch him – he loves to be scratched.  He grooms well, and is very affectionate.  His fur is growing in nicely since he needed to have some extensive matting shaved.   He’s very focused on understanding and fitting into his new environment.  He watches intensely and you can see the wheels turning as he tries to figure it all out.  He is interested in other dogs and people, and has shown no aggression toward either – but he will bark in the backyard at passing people (and squirrels) with his sister, who loves to do that.  He has shown interest in playing with other dogs, though we have not yet allowed that. Charlie is quite smart and very eager to please. We estimate his age to be about 6 years old.  If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $450. This fee helps us to cover (and sometimes only partially cover) the expense of providing each dog with a Health Exam, Rabies/DHPP vaccines, Heartworm Test, Heartworm Preventative, Flea & Tick Protection, Microchip, Neuter/Spay, a Bath and any other medical needs.  Thank you for your consideration in adopting a collie in need!!! Story
Born: October 13, 2024 Duffy is a beautiful, smiley young man, who will turn one year old in October 2025. He is a sweet and cuddly guy, who snuggles on the sofa and gives lavish loving kisses. Duffy loves all other dogs and his family - but he is skittish around new people, though, and new places, and needs slow, secure introductions.Duffy is neutered, housebroken, well trained, and except for his penchant for finding fun new toys in the house - preferably paper! - exceptionally well behaved. He’s on the tall side for a collie, and is going to be stunning when his full coat comes in! Duffy is looking for a patient and active family, with someone nonstop to play with, and a big yard. He is a gift who will be well worth the time to earn his trust.  If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $450. Story
Lenny is a fairly new arrival to his foster home, and he is doing great! He is a well-mannered adult collie, housebroken, smart, and loving. He plays well with his collie foster siblings and is great at turn taking. He is very much a Velcro dog, following his foster mom everywhere she goes! He’s affectionate and gives little kisses. Lenny loves hiking in the snow, and bursts into play regularly! He’s a neutered male and is doing well with dogs of all genders and ages. He is very polite in the house, knows “sit,” walks well on a leash, and rides well in a car. In public he is confident and curious and wants to meet all the people! If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
Kaylee is a 6-year-old Rough Collie with a big presence, a bigger coat, and an even bigger heart. From the moment you meet her, she’s friendly, polite, and happy to make a good impression—often sealed with one of her signature Collie chin kisses. She enjoys interacting with people, has lovely manners (no jumping!), and knows her “sit” cue very well. On leash, Kaylee is a pleasure. She walks nicely without pulling and is calm and attentive. At home, she’s equally well-behaved—she is not destructive (no chewing, digging, or mischief). One thing to know about Kaylee: she is vocal and likes to keep her humans informed of interesting sounds or sights. She takes her neighborhood watch duties seriously! Other Dogs Kaylee can live with other dogs, though slow introductions are important. She can be a bit pushy or dominant in her play style and was initially standoffish with her current canine companion. With time and proper introductions, they are now great friends—playing together, sharing beds and toys, and happily coexisting. Considering that successful match is between two adult females, that’s no small achievement! Cats & Other Animals Cats are unfortunately a no for Kaylee. She is very reactive to them, and even dog-savvy cats are uncomfortable around her. We believe she would chase, and the safest choice is a cat-free home. We don’t have experience with young children or small dogs, so we can’t offer guidance there. Kaylee is a big solidly built Collie with a thick, beautiful coat. The Ideal Home Kaylee would thrive with someone who appreciates: A well-mannered, affectionate adult dog A vocal Collie personality A cat-free household Kaylee is a wonderful blend of sweet, sensible, and spirited. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with classic Collie charm and don’t mind a little commentary on daily life, Kaylee just might be your girl. If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $450. Meet Onyx: The Ultimate Companion & Professional Couch Sidekick 🐾 If you’re looking for a dog who already knows the ropes, has mastered the art of house manners, and lives for a good belly rub, meet Onyx. At 8 years young, Onyx is a "soul dog" looking for her second act. She found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own after her long time owner passed away, and she is so ready to find a new person to devote herself to. Why you’ll love Onyx: • The Best Houseguest: She is fully housebroken and has impeccable manners. No puppy chaos here—just a sophisticated lady who knows how to relax. • Social Butterfly: Onyx hasn’t met a stranger yet! She greets everyone with a wagging tail and a hopeful look for some affection. • Excellent Communicator: She’s a smart girl who will politely let you know when it’s breakfast or dinner time. No need for an alarm clock when Onyx is around! • Low Maintenance: Her favorite hobbies include leisurely neighborhood walks, followed by her absolute favorite activity: laying right at your feet while you work or relax. • Gentle Soul: She has zero prey drive, meaning she’s a calm companion on walks and isn't interested in chasing the local squirrels. Onyx is a refined lady who appreciates her peace and quiet. Because of this, she’s not into the "paparazzi" energy of puppies or high-energy young do

Story
Tulip is playful and sweet. She enjoys curling up for quiet moments just as much as she loves running around and showing off her silly puppy energy. She’s the kind of puppy who follows you around, just happy to be near, offering comfort without even trying. She’s affectionate, eager to learn, and full of love to give. Every day with her has been a reminder of how pure and unconditional a puppy’s love can be. She may be small, but she leaves a big imprint on everyone she meets. Tulip deserves a home where she can continue to grow, feel safe, and be cherished for the wonderful soul she is. Anyone lucky enough to welcome her into their life will gain a loyal companion, a best friend, and a whole lot of love wrapped in a fluffy little package.

Story
We adopted Cali two years ago from a local rescue when she was a puppy. She is a sweet dog to those she likes. Cali is a shy and anxious dog who bonds strongly with our family and loves to cuddle. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She has had three weeks of professional training as a puppy and knows her commands. She walks well on leash and responds to training cues. She also has a platform that she will place on when told. Cali definitely has anxiety and seems fearful of others. We love her so much and we have tried for over two years but we realize that we are not able to handle her aggression. She has bit before and has tried attacking our cats. She also resource guards her food and toys even with our son. We do have a muzzle when we have company. We are hoping to be able to find her an experienced owner who can give her the help she needs. It would be best if she wasn’t in a home with small children or other pets. Comes with her crate, bed, food, and collar. DNA done.
