Story
Georgie is a blind and deaf puppy who doesn't let his disabilities get in his way one bit!  He loves his pup foster brothers and runs around the house like any puppy, happy as a clam.  He is a world-class snuggler and loves to be carried like a baby.  He does not do well on a leash, but his foster is working on this with him.  And zero accidents!  This little guy is a gem and you won't regret making him yours!  *Note that due to Georgie's disabilities, he will need a fenced in yeard for his safety.*   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2148123##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there! My name is Cookie, and I’m a sweet, silly 5-year-old Corgi girl. I might be a little rounder than most Corgis (34 lbs!), but don’t worry—I’m working on it! I’m on a diet, and I need to lose about 10 pounds to be at my healthiest. I love hanging out with my humans more than anything, so if you’re looking for a loyal shadow to follow you around, I’m your girl! I get along great with kids, cats, and other dogs, but honestly, people are my favorite. If you pet another dog, don’t be surprised if I nudge my way in for some attention—what can I say, I love being the center of attention! I’m crate-trained and happy to nap in my crate, especially if there’s a treat involved. Speaking of treats, I’m very polite and gentle when taking them. Freeze-dried salmon or liver treats are my favorite! I love short, slow walks where I can sniff around, and I enjoy hanging out in the backyard, either exploring or watching the world go by. I’m still working on potty training, but I’m making progress, and with a little more time and consistency, I’ll get there! I do have some quirky habits, like eating my kibble on the floor of my crate instead of from a bowl, but my foster mom says I’m improving as I get more comfortable. I can be a little anxious at times, especially with certain noises or if I can’t follow you upstairs, but I’m learning to settle in. I’m also not a big fan of squeaky toys—they make me a little nervous—but I do love cuddles and being with my people. I’m still building up my strength, so too many stairs aren’t the best for me right now, but I can manage a few. Once I shed a few pounds, I bet I’ll be a bit more active. For now, I’m all about snuggles, short walks, and being your sweet, goofy companion. I can’t wait to find my forever home—someone who will love me, work with me on training, and give me lots of pets! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
**Meet Carter – Your New Best Friend!**Hi, my name is Carter, and I'm looking for my forever home! I'm a sweet 7-year-old, 22-pound Corgi/Heeler mix with a heart full of love. My favorite thing in the world is being close to my human, and I will quietly follow you around, waiting patiently for head pats and all the affection you can give!I'm fully housebroken and haven't had a single accident in my foster mom's home. I also love using the doggy door but prefer spending my time inside with my people. I get along great with dogs of all sizes, and if needed, I can be tested with cats and kids to make sure we're a perfect fit.If you're looking for a calm, loyal, and loving companion, I could be the one for you! Fill out an application to meet me, and let’s see if we’re a match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.October 20, 2024, 10:39 am
