Story
New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!!  Say hello to  Dodge , our adorable Corgi mix who’s captured everyone’s hearts here at DRM! Dodge may not be a Doberman herself, but she came into our care after being found running side-by-side with one in Wichita, proving that loyalty and friendship truly know no breed. We couldn’t leave her behind, so she’s become our honorary “Doberman Plus One,” or as we like to say, our  Noberman ! This 32-pound sweetheart is full of personality and charm. Dodge is a playful, affectionate young girl who loves all toys—especially stuffed animals, filled bones, and cow cheeks—and she hasn’t destroyed a single one! She enjoys playing with people, dogs, and even cats, and is doing wonderfully in her foster home alongside two feline friends. Dodge has great house manners and is both crate trained and house trained. She’s very food motivated, which makes training fun and easy. She knows “wait,” “sit,” and “down,” and is currently working on “stay” and leash walking.    She loves to play in the fenced yard and rides beautifully in the car! Dodge is confident and curious but still young, so she can be a bit jumpy when excited; small children should be supervised during playtime.                     At home, Dodge settles nicely in her crate when left alone and shows no signs of separation anxiety, though she may whimper softly if she knows her people are nearby. Her gentle, loyal spirit shines through in everything she does, and she’s sure to bring endless joy and laughter to her forever family. Dodge may be a “Noberman,” but her heart is pure rescue gold. Ready to meet Dodge? Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website:  dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps . Qualified adopters are within our approved adoption area, and meetings are arranged at the foster family’s home (typically within a 250-mile radius of Minneapolis, MN). All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. January 31, 2026, 8:12 pm

Story
Gloria is a one-year-old pup with a gentle heart and a love for her people. She’s a champion snuggler who truly enjoys spending quality time with her humans, whether that means curling up together or hanging out nearby. Gloria has a moderate activity level and loves to play, especially when squeaky toys and balls are involved! Gloria aims to please. She is food motivated and loves to learn new things. She does wonderfully with kids and cats, making her a great fit for a family home. Gloria also enjoys the company of other dogs, though she prefers slow, thoughtful introductions and time to warm up. With patience, reassurance, and a supportive family to help build her confidence, she has so much potential to blossom. Gloria is looking for a loving home that will cheer her on, help her feel secure, and appreciate her sweet, affectionate nature. Gloria is estimated to be 1 year old and 27 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. Story
History: Regis is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi everyone! My name is Regis, and I’m a super fun Corgi. At 2 years old, I’m fairly energetic. I love to be with my people. I enjoy trying new things. And, I love to play with toys - I’m an expert at removing squeakers! I’m really happy when we play together, but I can entertain myself independently - though foster mommy supervises to make sure I don’t eat the toy stuffing - usually laughing at the show I put on! My report card came in the mail the other day. Check this out! Potty Training: A! My people are good at keeping me on schedule for walks, and I’ve never had an accident in my crate. Leash walking: A! I had special training so I don’t pull as much, and I enjoy walks, even in the cold. And I’ve now mastered doing stairs. Crate Training: A! With a little treat, I go in and I am quiet through the night. I’m great at being in my crate when the adults are away from home. Getting along with strangers, especially kids: A! I like to meet people, I have naturally good manners and built in friendliness! Car Rides: A! Let’s go! Getting along with other dogs: B I do best with dogs that are tolerant of my playfulness, but I try to pick up on cues and give them space if they aren’t. Side note: I’ve not spent much time with cats. Foster mommy has tested me with cats that were roaming at the pet store. I didn’t react. Super good boy: A++ I wag my nubby tail a lot because I’m very happy. When I came to rescue, I was really skinny, and fighting off a couple of types of worms. Because I’m good at taking my medicine, and even better at eating my food - I’m much healthier - and ready to find my forever home. Hurry, I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lover is a gentle, lovable girl who may start off a little unsure when meeting someone new. Once she settles in and feels comfortable in a new environment, she is smart, cute, and has that easy-to-love charm that makes her a great fit for a variety of homes. Lover comes with a solid foundation already in place. She is leash-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and is eager to please. She has high energy levels, but enjoys both snuggle time and playtime.  Here’s a cute video of Lover!  Lover loves dog companionship and would do best with another dog in the home as she'll likely gain confidence from another dog as well.  If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate dog Lover may be the perfect match! Lover  is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
