Blue is such a sweet and loving little princess. She is one who will head to the brewery for a day out or be content snuggling up on the couch. She has amazing dog manners and is very respectful of the elderly resident dogs in the house. She does fine in her crate if we are gone and has had no accidents in the house. She would be a great addition to and family or single person looking for a companion. Blue is estimated to be 5 years old and 19 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. A Note from the Foster: Hi everyone! My name is Regis, and I’m a super fun Corgi. At 2 years old, I’m fairly energetic. I love to be with my people. I enjoy trying new things. And, I love to play with toys - I’m an expert at removing squeakers! I’m really happy when we play together, but I can entertain myself independently - though foster mommy supervises to make sure I don’t eat the toy stuffing - usually laughing at the show I put on! My report card came in the mail the other day. Check this out! Potty Training: A! My people are good at keeping me on schedule for walks, and I’ve never had an accident in my crate. Leash walking: A! I had special training so I don’t pull as much, and I enjoy walks, even in the cold. And I’ve now mastered doing stairs. Crate Training: A! With a little treat, I go in and I am quiet through the night. I’m great at being in my crate when the adults are away from home. Getting along with strangers, especially kids: A! I like to meet people, I have naturally good manners and built in friendliness! Car Rides: A! Let’s go! Getting along with other dogs: B I do best with dogs that are tolerant of my playfulness, but I try to pick up on cues and give them space if they aren’t. Side note: I’ve not spent much time with cats. Foster mommy has tested me with cats that were roaming at the pet store. I didn’t react. Super good boy: A++ I wag my nubby tail a lot because I’m very happy. When I came to rescue, I was really skinny, and fighting off a couple of types of worms. Because I’m good at taking my medicine, and even better at eating my food - I’m much healthier - and ready to find my forever home. Hurry, I can’t wait to meet you!

Pancakes (but we call her Pancakes) is a very sweet, 2.5 year old, spayed female. She is housebroken, crate trained and loves car rides. She loves people and is dog friendly. Her goal in life is to be a lap dog and have her belly rubbed all day. However, she is still easily frightened by sudden movements and noise, so a quiet, single family home is a must. Older well behaved kids might be ok. She has dramatically improved on that since coming into foster, so there’s a good chance she will continue to improve. She needs a fenced yard or - at all times - a well fitted harness. She would do best with a second mellow dog to play with, but it’s not an absolute requirement.

I'm looking for a better life to hopefully find a future home where I can be free to run and play with you. I came from a home where I spent 16-17 hours a day in my crate. You can see I didn't like my crate much by how it looks in the picture. I'm adjusting here in the rescue, I realize now my crate is just a security blanket for me at night, and my food stays safe in there for only me to eat. If you are looking for a pint sized dog, with big dog ancestry, look no further as I am a blend of Corgi, Lab and Aussie...What more could you want in a lap sized dog? They say I'm short, I like to say I'm more down to earth.. Or just call me fun sized! But see if we can hook up. I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Check me out! All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible.
