You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lover is a gentle, lovable girl who may start off a little unsure when meeting someone new. Once she settles in and feels comfortable in a new environment, she is smart, cute, and has that easy-to-love charm that makes her a great fit for a variety of homes. Lover comes with a solid foundation already in place. She is leash-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and is eager to please. She has high energy levels, but enjoys both snuggle time and playtime. Lover gets along well with adults and other big or small dogs, making her a wonderful match for many family types.  Here’s a cute video of Lover!  Originally brought into the Cleveland, TX shelter, Lover arrived in good condition and has shown that she adapts well to new environments. While she doesn’t require another dog in the home, she would likely enjoy a canine companion. She is the kind of dog who adjusts well with love and routine. If you are looking for a sweet, easy, affectionate dog who will fit right into your life, Lover may be the perfect match! I'm looking for a better life to hopefully find a future home where I can be free to run and play with you. I came from a home where I spent 16-17 hours a day in my crate. You can see I didn't like my crate much by how it looks in the picture. I'm adjusting here in the rescue, I realize now my crate is just a security blanket for me at night, and my food stays safe in there for only me to eat. If you are looking for a pint sized dog, with big dog ancestry, look no further as I am a blend of Corgi, Lab and Aussie...What more could you want in a lap sized dog? They say I'm short, I like to say I'm more down to earth.. Or just call me fun sized! But see if we can hook up. I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Check me out! All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Once we receive your submission, our application review team will be in touch with you. Please have patience while they look over your application.
