Hi, I’m Koala — a 5-year-old Corgi/Collie mix with a big heart, short legs, and lots of love to give! I’m a smart girl who knows how to sit, shake, and even give adorable high fives! I’m house trained, and during the day while the family is at work or school, I hang out in my kennel and relax. I also eat in my kennel like a polite lady. At night, I’ve been left out a few times, and I did great — I just found a cozy blanket and slept peacefully until morning. I can be a little nervous with new people, but once I warm up, I become incredibly loyal. When I choose someone as my person, I bond deeply and love to follow them around just to be near them. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and I’m perfectly happy to ignore cats. I’m also a really good traveler! I ride in the car calmly, usually taking a little nap in the seat. And when it’s time for a walk, I’m a pro on the leash — no pulling, no fuss. I’ve spent time around little kids, and I’ve been a total dream with all of them. I’m a loving, gentle, easygoing dog who’s ready to find a forever family of my own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soft heart and great manners, I’d love to meet you.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Once she settles in and feels comfortable in a new environment, she is smart, cute, and has that easy-to-love charm that makes her a great fit for a variety of homes. Lover  comes with a solid foundation already in place. She is leash-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and is eager to please. She has high energy levels , but enjoys both snuggle time and playtime. lover  gets along well with adults and other big or small dogs, making her a wonderful match for many family types. Originally brought into the Cleveland, TX shelter, lover  arrived in good condition and has shown that she adapts well to new environments. While she doesn’t require another dog in the home, she would likely enjoy a canine companion. She is the kind of dog who adjusts well with love and routine.
