Story
Aurora is a 3 year old Corgi who came to us as an owner surrender after a significant decline in health and they were no longer able to care for her. Aurora is adapting to all the changes very well. She came from an only pet home, had limited interactions with others, limited exposure outdoors, and is litter box trained. Being outside, playing with other dogs and cats, and meeting new people have all been new experiences for her, however she is doing well with each of these. She is super submissive and shy to other animals. She enjoys the house cats, and is warming up quickly to two younger foster dog siblings, and even has started to play. She loves chew toys and playing fetch. She barks to alert only. She is crate trained, and sleeps throughout the night, preferring her pet bed by the window. She has been using her litter box consistently since she was a puppy, and has been fully trained without an accident during the time in her foster home. Her litter is pine shavings (which are carried in stock at Fleet Farm). We understand this is unique, and we are learning about dog litter box use from Aurora as well. Aurora will do best in a patient home with lots of love. She has been so resilient to these abrupt changes, and we are more than optimistic she will adapt just as well to her forever home.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lover is a gentle, lovable girl who may start off a little unsure when meeting someone new. Once she settles in and feels comfortable in a new environment, she is smart, cute, and has that easy-to-love charm that makes her a great fit for a variety of homes. Lover comes with a solid foundation already in place. She is leash-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and is eager to please. She has high energy levels, but enjoys both snuggle time and playtime.  Here’s a cute video of Lover!  Lover loves dog companionship and would do best with another dog in the home as she'll likely gain confidence from another dog as well.  If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate dog Lover may be the perfect match!
