Story
Location: Savage, MN Hi, I'm Veda! My foster mama says I am the sweetest little bean ever. I am completely house broken and kennel trained. I get my little bursts of energy, but I can also be quite the couch potato. I also walk very well on my leash, and I do not bark much unless I need to alert something that sounds dangerous to me. I am a fabulous passenger in the car, or on my foster mama's golf cart! I am very shy in new environments and around new people. I need *very* slow and careful introductions. I do tend to like women more than men, but have warmed up to several men who gave me my time and space until I was ready. I get along with most other doggies, however I sometimes get confused between what is playing and what is not very polite so my foster mama is still teaching me those manners, because she says I can sometimes be "bossy". I also love chew toys, bones, balls, you name it. I can be a little spunky, but when foster mama tells me "no" I listen right away. Do you have room for a cute little lover like me in your heart and on your lap? What would my ideal home look like? Well, since I am very unsure about strangers and can be a bit protective of my favorite people, I may not be the dog you bring out to social events. If you are a family that has parties or has company over often, I might get overwhelmed or need to stay in my room during their visit. A home that does not have a lot of foot traffic would be ideal. I need a human that will learn how to read my body language to know when a situation or person is not right for me, and will be able to make sure that I and everyone around me is protected from one of my little outbursts. I am not a danger to the humans that I trust and love, and once I warm up to you, you will think I am an angel. But, I need to be handled carefully in public or around other people. This isn't meant to make me sound scary, but to ensure that I find the right fit for my forever home. Would you be willing to work with a cute little noodle like myself? --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
