Bua Loi (LA)

Corgi Labrador Retriever

Female, Young
Irving, TX
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Bua Loi is being fostered in LA. She loves cats, and can be good with quiet, calm dogs. She has been around a rabbit and has done well. She is heart worm positive and is undergoing treatment that will extend until this spring. Bua Loi came to us from a monastery in Texas! She was not in good shape when she first arrived there, but they nursed her back to health and reached out to us. Bua Loi has been in her foster home for several months now. She enjoys spending time outside and loves to prance like a show horse! She also loves to lay in front of the window and take sun baths. She enjoys being petted and getting attention, but is also ok when she's left alone. And she loves to eat! Playing games where she has to sniff for her food is one of her favorite activities. Bua Loi loves cats! In her previous home at the monastery, she adored their cat and they would lay and cuddle with each other. In her current foster home, she spends some time in a room with their rabbit, and she does very well. She also enjoys when there are foster cats who let her cuddle. Bua Loi's foster home is working on helping her get used to having other dogs around, but she can be a nervous dog and would do best in a calm house with quiet or older dogs or cats, or as an only dog, and with a patient family to help her adjust. Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in Bua Loi! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
Photo of Marigold

Female, Adult
Dallas, TX
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Marigold is an adorable 2-year-old Corgi mix and weighs 26 lbs. She loves her humans so much and is always ready to greet them with a big smile and some tail wags. Marigold was found in a rural area along with 4 of her puppies back during an ice storm. Since she has been in her foster home, she has really bloomed! She is a smart girl and learned the doggie door quickly from her furry foster siblings. Marigold gets along well other animals but needs slow introductions and time to adjust. New situations can still be a little scary for her. Marigold is an affectionate gentle girl with a big, friendly personality. She loves belly rubs, running in the backyard, and most of all, she loves nothing more than spending time with her people. When she looks at you with her big golden brown eyes it melts your heart every time! If you are looking for the perfect “fun size” companion, then you will want to meet this cutie! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
