Though he has no interest in catching a ball or playing with dog toys, he will bask in the sun while you work or tend to household duties. He is extremely well-mannered: he does not bite or scratch and will not tear up clothing or furniture. He enjoys being near his people for some attention, but is equally happy taking quiet alone time (especially in his favorite crate at night). He is highly food-motivated, making further training easy. Why Rehoming: We recently welcomed a newborn with additional needs. I simply don't have the time to dedicate to him and refuse to let him be neglected. Foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Lincoln! Lincoln is a super sweet, loveable, 21 lb goofball. He was in very rough shape when he entered the shelter in Central California - for the second time in November (no fault of his own!!), and due to being a staff favorite, fortunately made his way out of the shelter system quickly and found himself at the REAL Bark rescue. After being in a loving foster for a few months, Lincoln has shown us what a wonderful boy he is, and at the still youthful age of 10, is full of life, love and excitement about the world. He is very food motivated, and gets extra excited around mealtimes, puzzle toys, a good bone, and happily joins in multiple short walks during the day. He loves getting cuddles + pets, and loves a good snooze. He’s overall just a really sweet boy and loves all people and dogs. He has some standard senior maintenance needs and his foster has built a wonderful manual to help his forever home maintain his comfort. He is ready to find that third forever home (3 is a charm!) to take him through his wonderful Golden years, where he will give back so much love to his people. We love seniors - they are the best, the wisest, and the loveliest and Lincoln is all of that! Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.

Should avoid being fed fatty foods. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Rumi had stayed at the Gimje City Shelter for over two years after giving birth to puppies, living in a cramped space. She was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but she wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Loves going for walks and handles it maturely without pulling on the leash. Is a little cautious at first, but does well after a few steps. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Sometimes growls but accepts pets calmly. Growls out of fear of humans but never bites. * Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Likes going for walks.

Meet Bubba, a chihuahua/dauschound mix. He's 12 years old and the younger brother of Hopper who we got from someone who could no longer take care of them. Bubba is good with other dogs but can be unsure of new people. He takes his time getting to know someone and follows his lead from other dogs.
