Colonel Sanders “Sandy“ is a 3 year old sweet neutered male Doxie Mix who was found living at a KFC for over a month before a fellow rescuer rescued him and brought him to Lovejoy. He is a happy, healthy boy who has a gentle temperament and is good with other dogs We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Cali is 3 years old and a very loving dog. She enjoys cuddling and playing fetch! She is very smart and playful. Cali has been such a blessing to me and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her due to me having a baby soon. If I had the space to keep her, I would. She is usually anxious and quiet around other dogs at the pet hotel. She's never been aggressive towards other animals and definitely not towards people. Children love her. Cali needs an owner with time to play with her and space for her. She is a house dog and is house trained.

Harry David started life in Texas as our family dog 17 years ago, was with my mother for awhile, and ultimately ended up with me and my husband for the past several years in Austin, Chicago, and Los Angeles. He's a sweet, docile couch potato, loves giving kisses, and gets along with all kinds of dogs and cats. He's certainly slowed down over the years, but recently, he's been more lethargic and weaker. Even with his heart medication, we still need to pick him up to take him outside our apartment for potty breaks rather than full walks. It's been extremely tough to come to this conclusion, but we feel he would be better off in a one-story home with a yard where he can go out more frequently at his leisure since he hasn't been able to hold it as well as he used to. Even though Harry's at the end of his life, we'd rather allow for the possibility of a gentle decline in a loving and understanding home than make the difficult decision to put him down when he still has so much love to give.

Hi all, I'm looking for a new home for Zoe as I am moving away for a new job. She's an incredibly sweet girl who loves to cuddle, follow you around, play fetch, and get belly rubs. She is quite independent if need be but loves being with her owners as well. She is a Daschund / Terrier mix, weighs roughly 12 lbs, and is a year old. She is house-trained to potty outside and rarely barks. She is microchipped and has all her shots. She knows basic commands (sit, come) and is well-behaved both on-leash and off-leash. She really enjoys hikes and will walk beside you the entire way. She gets along with other dogs once she gets to know them (she lives with another dog now and they play throughout the day).

Foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Lincoln! Lincoln is a super sweet, loveable, 21 lb goofball. He was in very rough shape when he entered the shelter in Central California - for the second time in November (no fault of his own!!), and due to being a staff favorite, fortunately made his way out of the shelter system quickly and found himself at the REAL Bark rescue. After being in a loving foster for a few months, Lincoln has shown us what a wonderful boy he is, and at the still youthful age of 10, is full of life, love and excitement about the world. He is very food motivated, and gets extra excited around mealtimes, puzzle toys, a good bone, and happily joins in multiple short walks during the day. He loves getting cuddles + pets, and loves a good snooze. He’s overall just a really sweet boy and loves all people and dogs. He has some standard senior maintenance needs and his foster has built a wonderful manual to help his forever home maintain his comfort. He is ready to find that third forever home (3 is a charm!) to take him through his wonderful Golden years, where he will give back so much love to his people. We love seniors - they are the best, the wisest, and the loveliest and Lincoln is all of that! Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.
