Story
Odi was sadly left by his former people, tied outside a firehouse, and left with a heartbreaking letter that starts with "PLEASE TAKE MY SON" and ends with "I PROMISED HIM WE WOULD SEE THE WORLD BUT I CAN'T"...Clearly he was very much loved and his people fell into hard times. Now Odi is with The Real Bark and in foster. He is a sweet 15 lbs and 1 1-2 years old, loves other dogs and is a happy, friendly boy who loves life and everyone in it. He is a true gem, and good fortune will shine upon the person who would like to continue his story and show him all the future that his former owner, sadly could not. Odi is doing extremely well in a foster home setting with his slightly bigger foster brother. He is housetrained, good in his crate, likes his walks, and is an all around nice, kind soul. Odi loves every person and every dog that he meets, and gets super excited to see and say hi to all. He deserves the very best in his next journey of his life. He is ready to meet people to see if they are a good match for his forever home. If you are looking for a sweet, outgoing little boy named Odi, email us at therealbark@gmail.com.

Meet Botas He Beat Distemper—Now he's Ready to Find the Loving Family She's Been Waiting For ❤️ Breed: Doxy Corgi Mix Gender: Female | DOB: Feb 8, 2026 | Weight/Expected Size: 18 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spay Pending (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Three Puppy Vaccinations Completed | ✔️ Microchipped | ⭐ Distemper Survivor Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Botas' Story Botas has already overcome challenges that no puppy should ever have to face. He was abandoned at a young age and left to survive without the care and protection every puppy deserves. Fortunately, compassionate rescuers found him before it was too late and gave him the opportunity to begin a new life filled with hope. Not long after entering rescue, Botas was diagnosed with canine distemper, a serious illness that many puppies are unable to overcome. Thanks to exceptional veterinary care, proper treatment, and his incredible determination, Botas fought through every obstacle and made a full recovery. Today, he is a healthy, happy distemper survivor who is ready to find the forever family he's always deserved. Botas is a joyful, affectionate puppy with an adventurous spirit. He loves exploring the world around him, playing with toys, and making new friends wherever he goes. He has a naturally curious personality and approaches each day with excitement and optimism. After a busy day of playing, he's happiest curling up beside his favorite people for cuddles and a well-earned nap. Botas is expected to grow into an intelligent, loyal, and active companion. He is friendly, eager-to-please personalities and devotion to their families, while Terriers contribute confidence, curiosity, and playful energy.  Botas would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and age-appropriate exercise Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization with people and other dogs A consistent daily routine A safe indoor home where she's treated as a beloved member of the family A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Botas has already proven she's a fighter. Now she's ready to spend the rest of her life doing what every puppy should—playing, learning, and being loved by a family she can call her own. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all puppies, Botas is still learning about the world around her. His new family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, house-training, and exploring everything with curiosity. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Botas is eager to learn and will thrive with patient, positive reinforcement training. Her new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training House-training and consistent routines Daily exercise appropriate for her age Continued socialization Mental enrichment through toys and games Plenty of love, patience, and encouragement With guidance, consistency, and lots of affection, Botas will mature into a confident, loving companion who will reward her family with endless loyalty. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship. As part of responsible pet ownership, Botas will need: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Completion of any remaining vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Spaying when age-appropriate Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A balanced, high-quality diet to support healthy growth Daily exercise and mental enrichment Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family As a distemper survivor, we recommend sharing Botas' medical history with your veterinarian during her first wellness visit. Many distemper survivors go on to live long, active, and fulfilling lives with routine veterinary care and loving homes. Story
KARLA: Chiweenie Mix • Spayed Female • 2 Years Old • 17 lbs KARLA is a sweet, calm, and gentle little girl with a tender heart and a quiet way of showing how much she cares. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is not a barker. She is affectionate, well-mannered, and crate-trained, making her an easy and loving companion. At first, Karla may seem a little independent, quietly taking in her surroundings and figuring out that she is finally safe. But as the day goes on, her sweet personality begins to shine. She seeks out companionship, enjoys being close to her people, and loves receiving affection. Once she trusts you, she wants nothing more than to feel loved and know that she belongs. Karla’s story is heartbreaking. She and three other dogs were rescued from the CAC (Canine Care Center) when they were down to their final hours. We were told that a man had brought them there to be euthanized. Their lives were in danger, and they had no way of knowing that someone would come for them. Thankfully, a rescuer stepped in and gave Karla and the other dogs the second chance they desperately needed. Instead of her story ending in a shelter, Karla now has the opportunity to begin a new chapter—a chapter filled with kindness, safety, love, and a family of her own. Karla has already survived the hardest part. Now she is waiting for someone to show her that her life was worth saving. She deserves a forever home where she will never again have to wonder if she is wanted. If you think you can provide a great home for KARLA, please contact: Reyna Email: miracledogrescue@gmail.com Ph: 323-383-8883
