Story
Cali is 3 years old and a very loving dog. She enjoys cuddling and playing fetch! She is very smart and playful. Cali has been such a blessing to me and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her due to me having a baby soon. If I had the space to keep her, I would. She is usually anxious and quiet around other dogs at the pet hotel. She's never been aggressive towards other animals and definitely not towards people. Children love her. Cali needs an owner with time to play with her and space for her. She is a house dog and is house trained.

Ben and Jerry were found wandering the streets in Midway City by a kind gentleman who corralled them and brought them to AALOC. They are brothers and are completely bonded so they cannot be separated. If you are looking for a pair of dogs as an addition to your family, Ben and Jerry would be just the right double scoop of love. Ben and Jerry are very young Dachshund mix dogs, full of life and affection. They are small in size, about 15 pounds each, and they love to walk and play together. They are housebroken and play well with other dogs. Overall they are very well-behaved young dogs available for adoption by a loving family. Please submit an application to adopt Ben and Jerry at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Ben and Jerry and get to know them a bit. Story
Mr. Peabody is an 8 year old, 12 lb. cubby little dude. He came from a high kill shelter where his amazingly sweet and loving personality made him a crowd favorite with the staff. He needed out as no one was willing to give him a home. This sweet boy walks very well on leash and loves attention. He will make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys walks and having a snuggle companion to hang out with.  As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $400 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). If interested in one if our dogs or puppies, please email pardonmeinc@yahoo.com for information and adoption questionnaire. Our animals can be seen by appointment only after approved application process. Please email to make sure the animal you are interested in is still available and/or will be attending or on-site adoption event. No phone calls please.  If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please send all inquiries to pardonmeinc@yahoo.com. **********FOSTER HOMES NEEDED************ We are always looking for loving foster homes for new arrivals! Story
Raffi was living a lonely life on the streets and was so scared when he was rescued by Hope For Paws Rescue. They chased him for quite some time before they were finally able to catch him. We teamed up with Hope For Paws to help find Raffi his forever home. Raffi is shy with people he does not know but warms up once he gets to know you and feels safe. It does take him time to come out of his shell so he will need someone who is patient. He has limited hearing but he can hear louder sounds. He will need an experienced owner as he needs guidance and someone to build his confidence. Raffi loves other dogs and he will need a home with another confident dog that he can watch and learn from. He is good with cats too. He will need a calm household where he is not left for long hours and no young children but calm older children are okay. Raffi loves to go on walks and rides well in the car. Raffi is about 8-9 years old and weighs 9 pounds. In September 2021, Raffi was diagnosed with a mild heart murmur caused by early stage mitral valve disease. He was seen by a cardiologist in late September 2021 and again in for a recheck in June 2022 where he got an echocardiogram. He does not need any medication or treatment at this time but will need annual check-ups with a cardiologist to monitor his heart. Raffi is also fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, flea/heartworm treated. And Raffi just had a full vet exam, senior blood panel with thyroid test, urinalysis, heartworm test, fecal test, dental cleaning, mouth x-rays and chest x-rays in September 2022 so he should not need any vetting at this time. If you are serious about adopting Raffi and have a vet near you willing to work with our rescue, we will cover his vetting and cardiology. Or you can take him to our vet in the Los Angeles area for his vetting and cardiology needs.
