Born: December 26, 2022 I am 26lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $400 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged but Lainey was able to keep her figure. They are both so so sweet and cute! They both Love cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Lainey was born on 9/10/2021 so she is 3 years old, Arlo is 4. This dog's adoption fee is $400. If you are still interested, please read more below. This boy has really blossomed in the foster home. He was so withdrawn when he came in on transport from Missouri. But now he smiles and wags his tails and loves toys!! He is discovering his second puppyhood!! His vision and hearing are impaired so you will need to block any stairs so he doesn’t tumble down them. But he can handle 3 stairs on his own up and down. Any more than that intimidates him. He loves running around the yard but hates being on a leash. He is mostly potty trained. He is a sweet boy who is looking for a home where his personality can bloom, and with someone who will spend time with him and help him shed a few pounds. Billie Clyde is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Paris is 4yrs, @ 13lbs. a good loyal dog, & house trained to go outside to do her business. She gets along fine with other small dogs under 25lbs. She has not been around cats or medium, large dogs .She does not like walking in rain. But when light snow outside she enjoys digging in the snow with her nose. She can get cold easily so a nice sweater is good in the colder weather. I work from home due to various health issues.. Paris loves playing fetch, go exploring on walks, cuddling on couch & in bed. She enjoys looking out a window & sun bathing. She is not a picky eater, which is a great quality. We hate to rehome her but we need to change home life due to health issues, heart & body. Any questions add them in your introduction and add a Vet Refernce name/phone number. Weekends are best for meet ups. Will only drive a 30 minute distance or meet in McHenry. We prefer new adopter to reside in IL/WIS.

Oreo is 8 years old. He is a little anxious at times but does well with family. He is probably best suited in a home with no other dogs or young kids. He is playful, energetic, and ready to lay in your lap at a moments notice. We are extremely sad to let him go but really want a good home for him.
