Prince Foster to Adopt - Pending Neuter Do you Ever wonder what happened to all those fairy tale princes? Well, I'm one of them - just with four paws and a wagging tail! Hi there, I'm Prince, and while I might not live in a castle (yet), I've got a story to tell that's still being written. One day, my whole world changed. The family I knew could no longer keep me, and though they loved me, they had to make the difficult decision to bring me to Animal Control. It wasn't anyone's fault really - sometimes life just throws unexpected curves our way. But you know what? I decided to keep my head held high and my tail wagging, because I believe every cloud has a silver lining. Here at the C.A.R.E., I've become known for my signature move - spinning in circles when I'm happy! The volunteers laugh and say I dance like I'm at a royal ball. I may be small at just 12 pounds, but I've got a big personality and an even bigger heart. Every day, I practice my best manners and show off how smart I am by learning new commands. It makes the shelter staff smile when I sit perfectly or come when called, my little paws prancing across the floor. My favorite part of each day is when I get to go for walks. As I trot along the sidewalk, I imagine I'm exploring my future kingdom with my future best friend. You see, I'm not just looking for any home - I'm looking for my person, someone who'll be my loyal companion just as I'll be theirs. Sometimes at night, when the shelter gets quiet, I dream about what my forever home will be like. I imagine soft beds to curl up in, toys to play with, and most importantly, someone who'll love me for exactly who I am - a little prince with a lot of love to give. Sure, I may shed a bit (even royal fur coats need maintenance!), but I promise to make up for it with endless cuddles and entertainment. I'm still young - just a year old - with so much love and adventure ahead of me. Every morning when I wake up, I wonder: 'Will today be the day? Will I meet my perfect person?' Maybe, just maybe, that person is you, reading my story right now. They say every prince finds their castle eventually. I'm ready to find mine, to fill it with joy, playfulness, and unconditional love. I'm ready to be someone's loyal companion, their best friend, their Prince. So what do you say? We are Flynn and Rider! Like thieves in the night we'll steal your heart. Flynn and Rider are absolutely gorgeous and active puppies looking for forever homes to call their own. Flynn is more reserved than Rider but he still loves to go play. He'll come sit by your feet and take in the world around him or he'll try to scamper up on your lap to show you rocks he's found. He loves being up high to get scratchies and watch his brother. Rider is the adventurer, he enjoys sniffing through the grass and pouncing grasshoppers. He likes to get the big dog toys to drag around the yard and have his brother chase him. Rider sits patiently waiting for his turn to get scratchies on your lap. He's so adorable! He's fearless until big trucks rumble by then you'll find him behind your chair! Don't get Tangled in our cute-pie puppy eyes! These pups have healthy appetites but will stop when full, graze later after activities. Their mom has short legs, longer body, pointy ears, narrow face, and a beautiful redish brindle coat. Might be corgi/dachshund mixes or be energetic little terrier dogs. They have cute little legs and look like they waddle from behind! Both like to play, run, and carry things around. They are really good at hustling from their room to door to go outside with "lets go, let's go, hurry, hurry, all the way to the door." Then once out the door "all the way to the gate... no pee pee in the walk way." Then "hurry hurry all the way back to go potty." They bound around in a scurry watching me for praise at their good efforts! Eager to learn, observant, smart. Will walk on leashes together but criss cross a bit so will need individual leash training. They are a little timid with new things in general so slow introductions would be helpful as they learn. They are young and going through a chewing stage so age appropriate chew toys a plus. Have experience with dogs their size. Very timid with big dogs. No experience with cats or children so please introduce them slowly. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

But NOW, I am GLORY and I am loved in the foster mom's home and pack. I have a really great friend too, his name is Leggo and he was from a rough family too. So we have kind of a kinship of despair, which has turned into LOVE and FOOD and WARMTH and HOPE! We didn't come into the rescue together but we are attached at the hip :) Please adopt us together!! She will be spayed at a later date, and a $50 refundable spay deposit will be required. Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently taking medication for anxiety support, heart disease, and allergies - Having her mammary masses and dental disease regularly monitored, as she is not a candidate for surgery/anesthesia at this time - Heartworm positive and on activity restriction. Crate trained: She has only free roamed when home alone, and can take some time to settle due to stress. She has been doing better with the help of medication, but can still howl for a bit before settling. Leash walking: Doing well overall, but can sometimes bark at other dogs she sees on walks Dog social: She has been selective with her dog pals and has seemed more comfortable with smaller dogs. She would do best with slow introductions to well-matched dogs. Cat social: Unknown, but she has been fine regularly passing a feral cat on walks Kid friendly: Likely not a match, as she can be nervous around new people Myrtle likes: - Rolling around in the grass - Giving you kisses in the morning - Sitting in your lap while you work Myrtle is a hilariously sassy senior gal who loves to be with her trusted people. Once she bonds with you, she wants to be by your side (or in your lap), giving you kisses and cuddling with you. She has shown some nervousness around strangers, especially when visiting her home space, and will need an adopter who can give her plenty of time, space, and treats when meeting new people. Given that she does not love being home alone, she would appreciate a calmer and quieter home where her person is home more often than not. She has some medical needs that require medication and vet support, so her adopter should also be comfortable with handling her ongoing care. Hitch is currently 9 years old (guessed by the adoption center two years ago). He is the sweetest companion that loves to be the center of attention. He has his spurts of playfulness but mostly loves to nap, cuddle, and sniff outside. Please apply to give hime a new home. Due to working and going to school full time I am unable to find someone to take care of him when I am away. Soon I’ll have no choice but to take him to a shelter.

Coco is a 6 year old dachshund mix, who we rescued in May 2021. Coco is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and has no known medical conditions. Coco is a very kind and gentle dog, who loves cuddling and spending time outside. Coco is house and crate trained and does well in cars. She enjoys fetch with her toys and being around us and would be a great companion in the perfect home. Coco gets anxious around other dogs, and has shown signs of aggression towards dogs that are her size or smaller, but has been OK with larger adult dogs. She will bark and pull on walks when she sees other dogs, so a fenced in yard is a plus. Coco does not do well with young children, which is why we are rehoming her. We have a 2 year old child, and Coco became very anxious and uncomfortable when she began to walk. We had an incident where Coco knocked our daughter down unprovoked, resulting in her being hurt. Coco has been OK with older kids but needs a home with no young children or small dogs
