Meet Kai – A Gentle Soul on the Rise

Hi, I'm Kai! I'm about 1.5 years old, a true mixed breed with the cutest short legs, and a heart that’s just beginning to bloom. I made my way from Texas with my siblings, and while I was pretty shy at first, I’m discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all!
Every day brings new courage – I’ve learned how wonderful soft beds can be, how good gentle pets feel, and that mealtime is something to wag about. I'm still a little hesitant with new things, especially loud noises or sudden movements, but I’m building trust and learning to look to my foster family for comfort and safety.
Despite my timid beginnings, my true personality is starting to shine. I’m sweet, quiet, and love to be near my people. You’ll often find me sneaking in for a gentle nudge or curling up nearby just to be close. I’m crate-trained (sleeping through the night with no messes!) and making great progress on house training. I'm also picking up on basic commands – turns out, I’m pretty food-motivated and eager to learn!
I’d thrive in a calm, patient home that can give me time to fully blossom. If you’re the kind of person who celebrates the little victories – like a wagging tail or a curious sniff – then we just might be a perfect match.

Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.
