WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet January – Tiny Package, Giant Heart ❄️🐾 2 years old • 8 lbs • Dachshund/Min Pin mix Don’t let her petite size fool you — January may weigh in at just 8 pounds, but she’s carrying around enough love to fill a whole house. This little black-and-tan sweetheart is gentle, soft-natured, and delightfully dainty. When she first meets new people, January can be a touch shy… but give her about 30 seconds and a kind word, and suddenly she’s your loyal best friend forever. Think of her as a slow-blooming flower with a very enthusiastic tail. Once she feels comfortable, January is all about quiet cuddles, cozy naps, and sticking close to her favorite humans like the world’s cutest little shadow. She’s not loud, she’s not demanding, and she definitely doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she’s just happy to be included. January’s Resume (and it’s impressive): • Great with other dogs • Friendly with cats • Wonderful with kids and adults • House trained and dog-door savvy • Up to date on vaccines • Professional couch companion Around the house, January is an easygoing, low-maintenance kind of gal. She’s got the whole “house manners” thing down and fits beautifully into a routine. Basically, she’s the roommate we all wish we had — tidy, polite, and never eats the last slice of pizza. Her idea of a perfect day? A little sunshine, a few gentle head scratches, maybe a short stroll, and a soft spot next to you on the couch. She’s not looking for wild adventures — she’s looking for a forever person to adore. If you’re hoping for a sweet, loving little companion who will quietly steal your heart (and maybe your favorite blanket), January just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this tiny treasure warm up your world! 💛🐾

Marley is in need of a home. He was my mother’s companion dog for many years and when she died several years ago, she was adopted by an elderly family member. They were very close - Marley was her baby. She died last week and we are not able to keep her - she needs to be in a home where someone is home with her all day and with no other pets in the household. Marley is sweet and she really needs a companion to be with her.

Meet Gia 🐾 2 years old | 15 lbs | Dachshund mix | Professional Clinger Hi. It’s me. Gia. I may have convinced the rescue humans I needed time to decompress… when really I was securing a situation where I could demand constant, uninterrupted attention. Mission: successful. 😌 I’m a lap dog disguised as a dachshund mix. All 15 pounds of me run on pure “please hold me” energy. Personal space is a myth, and petting should be a full-time job. I insist on being carried like the tiny queen I am and will politely (with paws and intense eye contact) remind you that your hands belong on me. When I was placed on the floor for 30 whole seconds so my foster could eat, I filed a formal complaint. Unacceptable. Beyond my elite cuddling skills, I’m also a very good girl: 🐾 Fully potty trained 🐾 Loves kids (tested on the neighbor’s) 🐾 Indifferent to cats 🐾 Happy as an only dog or part of a pack 🐾 Treat-motivated and a quick learner I already know high five and learned to use doggie stairs so I can sleep in the bed—where I clearly belong. If you want a tiny supervisor who doubles as a heated blanket and emotional support dog… hi. it’s me. I’m Gia. 💕

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello…….Here’s Scruffy  "Hold your applause, please—I know, the facial hair is magnificent."  My name is Scruffy, and I’m a Kerrville shelter survivor currently looking for a permanent Chief Executive Assistant (that’s you) to manage my snacks and belly rubs. I was born around July 22, 2024, which makes me a young professional in the field of being a Very Good Boy. My Professional Resume Physique: I’m a sleek 22.2 pounds. I’ve got the long body of a Doxy and the "just rolled out of bed" hair of a wire-haired terrier. It’s called style, look it up. Social Life: I’m currently interning with a "pack." It’s going well, though I’m still working on the 'gentleman' part of my training. Apparently, true gentlemen don't hog the best spot on the rug. Who knew? The Kitchen Situation: Look, I’m a growing boy. I get a little protective of my dinner (I call it 'resource management'), but if you tell me "hey, knock it off," I listen. I’m a quick learner! Potty Skills: I seem to have mastered the art of the "outdoor business." My foster humans are very impressed. Why You Need Me I’m friendly, I’m portable, and I’m 100% guaranteed to be the best-looking thing in your Instagram feed. I’m just a Hill Country boy looking for a couch to call my own. For a one-time fee of $300, you get a lifetime of loyalty and a dog that looks like a tiny, adorable wizard. How to Hire Me: Fill out the paperwork at www.adoggie4you.org. Tell them the guy with the eyebrows sent you. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be Transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛
