Meet Trooper. He was rescued off the street with a litter mate by a good samaritan when they were only about 8 weeks old. The family is moving and could only take one of the dogs, unfortunately it was not Trooper. Trooper is very playful, friendly, knows some commands and has even had some formal training. He is not 100% house trained but is crate trained. He is a happy boy, loves his belly rubs, giving LOTS of kisses and would make a great new family member. After spending some time waiting for his forever family, this sweet 2-year-old Dachshund/Pug mix is now thriving in his foster home — and we couldn’t be happier to share what we’ve learned about this little guy. ❤️ At just 11 pounds, Boone is the perfect little companion with soulful eyes, an adorable pug face, and a heart that’s even bigger than his personality. Boone absolutely LOVES his human foster siblings! 🥰 He follows the kids from room to room, wants to be part of everything they do, and has shown what a gentle, affectionate little guy he is. His favorite place to be is right beside his people — especially if belly rubs and snuggles are involved! He’s also proving to be an amazing house guest. Boone is sweet, and respectful - his barking has significantly reduced since spending time in his foster home! He’s still working on potty training and crate training, but he’s learning quickly and showing his foster family every day how eager he is to please. Boone enjoys exploring the yard, going for walks, and playing with toys! Smart, handsome, and full of love? We think so. 😉 Boone does best with slow, thoughtful introductions to other dogs so he can build confidence and friendships at his own pace. I’m a Dachshund/Chi mix with a big personality packed into a little body. My previous owner had too many dogs for the city limit, so me and some of my buddies had to find new homes. The good news? I’m ready to make someone VERY lucky!  When I first arrived I was infested with fleas, and also had a injury to my face. Suspected from a dog bite, but I've got amazing people and vet staff taking care of me with antibiotics and xrays to make sure I'm all ready for my new family.  I love people so much that I sometimes bounce up out of excitement when I meet you. I just can’t help it! I’m all about kisses, tail wags, and making new friends. I also LOVE other dogs and have a blast playing with them and sharing my toys. Toys are kind of my thing, honestly. I’m not sure about this “potty training” business yet, but I’m a smart little guy and eager to please. I’m already neutered, 4DX negative, current on vaccines, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto — so I’m all set and ready to go! My adoption fee is $400. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance — and now I’m hoping my forever family is next! Rock came to us from a partnered shelter where he was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space—but thankfully, he got the chance he deserved. Born around June 13, 2025, Rock is a terrier/dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a soft, submissive personality. He’s a friendly, easygoing pup who gets along with everyone he meets, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Rock would truly love a family of his own where he can feel safe and loved. He LOEVS his toy time with friends in the play yard. Rock did test positive for anaplasmosis (a tick-borne infection) and is currently undergoing treatment with doxycycline.
